"Sidney!?" Mick shrieked as his lover moved once more against his hand.

"Oh my God..." he whispered as he stood up in complete and utter shock.

He couldn't think, he couldn't breath, he couldn't move when the nurses began rushing into the room...he couldn't do anything.

"Mr. Thomson, we need you to leave." A familiar nurse said, but Mick didn't listen, he continued to shout his lover's name through the chaos and madness.

All too soon though, he was being dragged out of the room by force. But that didn't stop him from resisting.

"Siiiiiidd!!" He bellowed amidst the craziness, and then, the door shut.

The hallway was silent now, and Mick peeked through the window of the door, But the nurses covered the view.

Mick didn't have time to get angry at the group of people in the other room, because he was reminded of one important detail. A notion that ruled over everything else in Mick's world.

Sid was awake.

His baby, his lover, his life was awake after months of being under.

Mick nearly choked on his own excitement.

He didn't know what to do at that moment. He wanted to cry, but fucking dance with joy at the same time.

"Mick?" A voice sounded to the right of him.

Mick turned, his eyes still wide with complete shock.

"What's going on? We heard shouting from down the hall!" Chris said as he swirled around the coffee in his hand before taking a tentative sip.

"S-Sid's awake." Mick barely whispered, his eyes were trained on the door.

Chris nearly spit out his coffee. "What!?"

When they made it to the rest of the group, Mick told them the news.

Some freaked out, some cried, some called the rest of the bandmates and family members, some even ran over to the room Sid was staying in.

Mick was one of the people who cried, and Craig was there to comfort him.

"It's okay Mick. He's okay...He's going to be okay." Craig whispered against Mick's shaking frame.

But Mick could barely hear him. He was so overwhelmed with relief at that moment as everyone else shuffled around him.

"He's going to be okay." Craig said one more time, and Mick let a sob.

Sid is going to be okay, Mick repeated in his head. And this time, he wasn't saying this for his own self-assurance. It wasn't a promise that fell flat everytime he visited his beloved Sid. It wasn't a blatant lie that his friends continued to tell him everytime he cried. This time, it was for certain.

Sid was going to he okay.
