"Jesse, wait!" Rainbow yelled as she and the others ran after Jesse. "Slow down!"

"Yeah! You agreed on helping me find Spawny, remember?!" Beep-0 shouted.

"Nope! Not without my sword!" Jesse yelled back. "Give me back my sword, you little rodent!"

The other rabbids are not going to approve of him saying that. Mario thought.

It has already been minutes since Jesse chased the chicken-riding rabbid with the others chasing him and yelling at him to stop. Despite the aching in his legs, he didn't stop until he went closer to the chicken. Once he was close enough, he pulled out his bow and aimed an arrow at the flightless bird that posed as the rabbid's steed. Drawing the arrow back, he let go and it hit the chicken until it hit the floor. Once the rabbid fell off, the chicken was dead and it suddenly turned into a featherless chicken that was bound to be cooked and eaten. The rabbid turned to find what's left of the chicken before he giggled.

But before he could take it and go, he heard footsteps and turned around to find Jesse standing and looking at him with his arms crossed and a glare on his face. The rabbid chuckled nervously, then he stood up on his little feet, the diamond sword still in his paws.

Jesse let out a sigh. "May I please have my sword back?"

The rabbid only looked at him with a blank expression before he refused. "Bah!"

"Oh, come on! That sword was given to me from an old friend of mine! Give it to me!"

"Bah!" Still, the rabbid refused.

"Okay, that's it. You made me angry!" Jesse grabbed his sword and tried his hardest to yank it out of the rabbid's grasp. "Give it to me now!"

"Bah!"

"It's my sword, I'm it's owner! It's mine!"

The others watched as Jesse had a tug-of-war with the rabbid over a diamond sword. Rainbow and Mario looked at then with wide eyes while Beep-0 just looked with a stoic expression.

"Well, this is entertaining." Beep-0 said sarcastically.

When Jesse gave his sword another yank, the rabbid suddenly bit his left arm. Jesse yelled in pain and he let go of the sword so he can hold his bitten arm. Finally taking the uncooked chicken from the ground, the rabbid stuck his tongue at him and ran off with the diamond sword still in hand. While Jesse winced from the pain in his arm, the others approached him, Mario and Rainbow's faces full of concern.

"Are you crazy?!" Beep-0 yelled, suddenly turning red. "You promised to help me find Spawny and bring him back to Peach's castle, and you chase a rabbid with a diamond sword?! And you called him a rodent?! The rabbids are not going to approve of that. Well, as I suspect."

Jesse didn't reply. He just winced at the pain in his arm. He didn't even bother to take his hand off the area where that rabbid bit him.

"Are you okay?" Rainbow asked.

"That rabbid, it just bit me." Jesse said.

"Mind if I take a look at that?" Mario said, pointing at Jesse's arm.

With a nod, Jesse gave his bitten arm to Mario without looking. After closing his eyes, he said, "Is it bad?"

Mario didn't answer. All he did was roll up Jesse's sleeve to inspect his left arm. "Hmm."

"On a scale of one to ten, how bad is it?" Jesse wanted to know.

"I would say a three. It's just a small bite mark in the flesh."
