I watched in horror as my mate roared out in anger and start to float towards the sky. My mate looked like the time that the Avatar had gotten really mad. Unlike Aang's eyes, however, Sam's eyes were black as night, fury shining in them.

Her whole body was tense as she pointed at the other male. "You will perish," she said, her voice mixed between hers and her Wolf's. She lifted him up in the air and caused the male to choke. "You will die a very painful death." She squeezed her hand together, causing the ex-Alpha to burst as if he was only a piece of fruit.

She looked around and sneered, scaring more people than not. "Bow down if you are with the King," she said, snarling. "NOW!"

I did what she said and kneeled, not knowing if she would do anything to me if I didn't. I watched as the others started to kneel as well. Some of the kneeling collapsed, dead, and I was sure that that it was because they were lying. Others died standing up in defiance.

'Thomas,' the king linked me from wherever he was at. 'You need to try to get to her. I don't think she is able to control herself.' Worry and concern filled his voice, and I wasn't surprised. He did treat her like his own daughter, and I knew that Sam had felt some comfort in him.

'Yes, Your Majesty,' I replied. "Sam?" I called out, hoping that my mate would turn to look at me. I stood and started to walk towards her, using my powers to keep me standing. "Sam, please," I begged, causing her to sneer. "Come back to me. You promised."

Sam narrowed her eyes at me but didn't reply.

"Come on, Sam," I said, still walking to her. "Please." I paused and took a deep breath. "You are scaring people," I said, knowing that that much would stick to her. "I know that you are going to miss Kerri. I am going to miss her too." A smile appeared on my face when I thought of an image of me with my pants on fire. "I am going to miss those stupid pranks she played on me, especially the pants on fire."

A small smile appeared on her face when she heard that. The wind died down, but she was still floating in the air. Guilt filled her eyes, and I knew that that she was feeling guilty that she didn't save Kerri.

My heart went out to her. I knew that that my mate was strong, but every now and then, her cracks showed through. "It's not your fault that she was shot and killed by Byron," I said, softly. "You did what you thought you needed to do, and that was to kill Sheamus. If you hadn't killed him when you did, then I am sure more lives would have been lost."

She sunk lower to the ground, and it was easier to move.

"You still have people that need you. I need you." My voice cracked when I said that. "Garrett needs you now more than ever." I glanced at Garrett and saw that he was looking at her with a broken look. I glanced at my mate to see that she was looking at him."My parents need you, and Fel needs a role model, someone like you. She is safe right now."

Sam didn't say a word, but she touched the ground. She watched as I came over to her and stood still when I reached her.

I placed my arms around her and hated that she didn't put her arms around me. However, I knew that she wasn't really in control, so it didn't bother me too much. I kissed her on the lips, putting all of my sorrow, love, pain and hope into that single kiss. "Come back to me," I whispered, softly, pulling away. "Please."

Sam's eyes turned back to normal, and she had this dazed look in her eyes. She focused on me for a minute and smiled. "I'm pregnant," she whispered before she passed out.

I caught her before she did an looked at Garrett, horrified. Pride and fear filled my body when she told me that she was pregnant, and I knew that that I did not want to loose my child. "We need doctors," I yelled. "NOW!"

I held my mate's hand and stared at her, wishing that she would open those big doe eyes of hers. "Hey, Sam," I whispered, wishing that she would wake up at the sound of my voice. I cleared my throat and licked my lips, looking away from her. "It has been... ah... two months, four days, three hours, ten minutes, and... five seconds since you told me that you were pregnant." I took a deep breath and sighed, the only sound being the two heart monitors that helped the doctors make sure that both my mate and unborn child were still alive. "I still can't believe that we are having a baby," I said, putting my other hand on her stomach. A smile appeared on my face when the baby kicked.

"The doctor said that the baby was, surprisingly, healthy, even though you have been in a coma for two months." I sighed and moved a hand through my hair, grimacing when I felt that it was greasy. "You missed the induction that Garrett and Sylvia had done for the pack. They are doing fine. Garrett is missing you, even though he will not admit it."

"And, you shouldn't have said that," Garrett grumbled, walking into the room followed by his mate. He took one sniff of me and wrinkled his nose. "Fuck, Man, when was your last shower?" he asked, causing me to shrug. "Go do it," he said. "If Sam wakes up to smell you like that, then she will spray you with water."

"But what if she..." I looked down at her, the concern for my mate growing. I didn't want to leave her in fears that she would die or the baby would die.

"Aren't your parents coming today?" Sylvia asked. "With your sister?"

I hesitated but nodded. I kissed her forehead and sighed. "I'll be back," I whispered. "Come back to me." And with that, I left in hopes to return quickly.
