I moved my hand across my forehead, leaving behind a streak of dirt. I didn't realize that that it would have been this hot when I said that I would work in the vegetable garden, but I had to get out of the castle. I had to get away from the guilty looks of Garrett or the calculating looks of Sam.
I knew that Sam was planning something, and I couldn't help but wonder what was going on in her mind.
Shouts were heard, causing me to turn in that direction. The shouts were calling for "Sam", but the female didn't look towards them. No, the female wasn't paying attention them. She was looking for someone, and I think that that person was me.
Sam stared at me, grinning with sharpened teeth. Her eyes were black as night, and there was this evil look in her eyes that caused a shiver to go down my spine. She used fire to push people back as she walked towards me.
"S-S-Sam?" I asked, backing up from her. Fear filled my body, because if looks could kill, then I would all ready be dead. My throat clenched as I saw the black marks covering her body, and my heart went out to her, because I knew that she was being controlled.
"You have been subjected to death," Sam said, her voice cold and hard. "You will die for going against the crown."
I took a step back and watched as Sam shifted into her Wolf form. I found it a bit odd that she was able to do that, because I knew that the spell would stop the person from shifting. "Sam?" I breathed out, praying that she was still on control.
Sam gave me that same smile that she had given me before. And, when she attacked, I didn't run. I didn't try to attack her, even though my Wolf begged me to.
And, as she grabbed me by the throat and as I fell to the floor, dying, I still trusted her.
"I trust you," I whispered as I felt my life slipped. Goddess, I shouldn't have.

The sounds of crickets filled my ears as I gained consciousness. Something soft was underneath my back, and I couldn't help but wonder if I was dead.
"Good, you are awake," someone said, causing me to feel a splitting headache. The person took a bite of something, causing me to groan out and turn in the opposite direction. The person stopped chewing and cleared their throat. "Oops... sorry. Sam told me that you would feel bad."
Sam... images of what had happened with her. I bit back a groan and tried to sit up. I wanted to find her, and when I did, I... didn't know what I would do.
A warm hand touched my shoulder, keeping me down. "Stay down for a bit longer. Sam did kill you."
"Is this heaven or hell?" I asked, my voice cracking. My throat felt dry, and I felt as if I had swallowed some sand. My tongue hung heavy in my mouth, and I wasn't sure if the person understood me or not.
"Earth," the person replied, sounding rather distracted about something. "Some people call it heaven. Others call it hell." There was a clicking sound, sounding rather like a gunshot being fired to my muffled brain. "Three... two... one. Ok." The person moved their hand to my head and lifted it up. "Easy," the person, a male I think, said. "Here drink this. It should help you feel better."
"Why?" I croaked but drank it anyway. The smoothness of the liquid went down my throat, and it refreshed me more than water. It tasted... sweet and cool, and I loved the way that it made me feel so... refreshed.
"To make you feel better," the male replied, causing me to open my eyes. The male smiled, looking really tired and worried. "Names Jack," he said, helping me stand. "I'm sorry for the biting of an apple. I got hungry."
