┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄Nine days. That was how long it took for another fight to break out. She fell from the sky like a meteor. We caught one glimpse of her, before she flashed invisible. After that, we were blind. She ran at us, slashing us with ice. She was fast. Too fast. Jack went down first, her face covered in blood. Denver crouched next as her, receiving a cut as she did so.
"The stone!" Ly hollered. "Find it!"
We began to run. Kaya came from all directions. She played us like a game. Savoring our lives until we were on the brink of death. Piers collapsed next. Although, he was strong. He crawled forward, then was given on last slash that made him cower. I was lucky and only had few, but I knew she would come soon. Ly searched under bushes and in the playground. Sam was no where to be seen. Nia took to the sky. Ami was in the trees. Denver, Piers, and Jack were too hurt to continue. I was running aimlessly. I had no idea where to even start looking.
Suddenly, something sharp nipped my shoulder. I stumbled and fell, just catching a glimpse of a bright blue light coming from one of the parking tolls. I turned to my right, abruptly hearing a moan of pain. Kaya was sprawled on the ground, panting. I stood quickly and backed up. Ly was instantly by my side, Ami included. Nia landed from the air and Sam turned visible again. Another deep breath came from my left. Piers limped up, putting an arm around Ami's shoulder.
Sam slowly stepped up to her. I'd never seen him kill anyone, but that angry look on his face showed me he could do it. He was hovering above her and she chuckled.
"Hello Sammy," she said.
"SHUT UP!" He screamed, throwing a shard of ice into her arm. She cried out in pain.
Kaya laughed again. "Little stutter boy thinks he's tough, tough, tough." She paused. "I'm proud of you." Sam threw ice into her stomach.
"Just kill her!" Jack yelled.
Sam didn't move a muscle. He kept his eyes on Kaya. She cackled. "Of all the Invisa's I've trained. You... Sammy, are by far the most interesting. Then again I've only taught two. The last being that Frances fuck-up. You know, he was French? Crazy, huh? Now half of you are from the Great America. You know what I say to this new Alliot?" She spat blood onto the floor. "Déb—"
Sam cut her off. Her face was no longer beautiful. Instead, it was now just a mess of ice and flesh.
The same bright blue light came from Kaya. It absorbed slowly into Sam's body. After a moment, it was gone and Sam turned to face us. His eyes glowed bright blue. He smiled. The light from his eyes faded and he collapsed to the ground. The air was soft and silent. We all looked at one another. I didn't know what to do.

We were back in Temuco before we knew it. If this was how the Elder fights were going to go down, then shit, the world could have been saved in three days. Kaya was just the beginning, deep down I knew it. I wasn't so sure everyone else did.
"We fucked her up good!" Denver said. She had bandages across her face along with the rest of us. For some reason, Jack's healing had stalled. I was positive she knew why. I wanted to see if I could tap in and figure it out, but she was really good at hiding it.
"Yeah, she was out in like point two seconds," Ly replied.
"I dunno, guys," I said, "we shouldn't let our guards down."
"Yeah but—"
"Zane is right," Piers said. He looked up from his computer. "Next lets see if we can get Adam."
