Chapter 22
                          


                          
The next day...
                          


                          
Today is the day Louise leaves with Kent to go back to Boston. The girls and Elizabeth prepare for their day at home since school was abruptly closed today due to repairs. Mitchell is at work today.
                          
	"Morning, girls; what did you want to do today?" says Elizabeth. "I haven't thought about anything." says Isabella. "Me neither." saysJuliet. "How about we, us girls, go shopping? In the city?" says Elizabeth. "Sure. That sounds like fun." says Isabella. "I'm cool with that." says Juliet. "Since we are dressed and undercaffeinated, let's go get coffee and head to the shops in the city for the today." says Elizabeth. 
                          
The girls and Elizabeth leave in a taxi to head to Starbucks, then to the shops in the city for a majority of the afternoon. They browse around and head home around 4pm. Mitchell arrives home earlier than normal today.
                          
	"How was your day, girls?" says Mitchell. "Good." says Isabella."Same." says Juliet. "I'd same too." says Elizabeth. "What did you all want to do for dinner?" says Mitchell. "I'll make some burgers on the grill and one of the girls can help me make homemade fries. Juliet, would you like to help?" says Elizabeth. "Sure. I'll help." says Juliet. 
                          
Juliet and Elizabeth begin making dinner as Mitchell brews a cup of decaf coffee for everyone in the household. Mitchell sits with Isabella on the couch watching some TV as the other girls' cook in the kitchen for dinner. Dinner is served around 6, and everyone gathers at the kitchen table and enjoys the food that has been made. Everyone helps clean up, and the girls and everyone else begin getting ready for the new school day tomorrow. 
                          


                          
The next day...
                          


                          
Elizabeth wakes up the girls a few minutes earlier before their alarm to have their coffee and breakfast before leaving this morning. Mitchell left for work prior to the girls' waking up. The girls and Elizabeth sip their coffee and eat their eggs and potatoes with avocado this morning. Then they all get ready and head off to school. Elizabeth walks with the girls and Juliet notices Chris sitting on the stoop waiting for her. Isabella walks further to see Allison also waiting for her on the stoop. 
                          
	"Girls, should I know what's going on? Never mind. Nice to meet you, Chris; nice to see you again, Allison." says Elizabeth. Both Chris and Allison nod back at Elizabeth. "Hi, Chris; how you've been?" says Juliet. "Good. Been thinking about you." says Chris, smiling back at Juliet. "You have been? Me too. Surprisingly." says Juliet."The first day we locked eyes, I knew their was something I liked about you." says Chris. "Me too." says Juliet.
                          
Chris wraps his arms around Juliet's waist and pulls her in to kiss her. Juliet kisses him back. They hold hands as they walk to class. 
                          
	"Hi, Allison; we meet again." says Isabella. "I remember that kiss when we were little." says Allison. "How could I not forget that either? You've gotten more beautiful as you've grown up." says Isabella. "Really?" says Allison. "Yes." says Isabella, pulling into Allison's mouth and begins kissing her. 
                          
They both walk to class after that blissful moment, and they hold hands. Both of them notice the strangel ooks, but they really don't care what other people think of them. The day ends for both of the girls' and their new partners at 3pm; The girls' wait for their mom, and she arrives and they head home. They unload their things as soon as they get into the apartment, and the girls' begin working on some homework. Elizabeth makes them a snack, and she gets into comfy clothes and grades papers. A few hours later, Mitchell arrives home with takeout for dinner and flowers for Elizabeth. 
                          
	"Honey, you didn't have to!" says Elizabeth, admiring the flowers Mitchell got her. "I did. Besides I wanted to since you girls' all went back to school today." says Mitchell. "Thank you, baby." says Elizabeth. "You're welcome. Dinner is all taken care of. We can eat when we please." says Mitchell. 
                          
Mitchell changes out of his work clothes, puts on comfy clothes, and begins making a salad to accompany the sodium-laden takeout for dinner. He joins Elizabeth on the couch as soon as she gets done grading papers. The girls' have finished up their homework. Mitchell gets up again to lay out the takeout food, and Juliet begins setting the table up. They eat their takeout and salad and converse at the table. A knock at the door emerges, and it's Holly and Allison with their takeout they brought from home. They join them at the table, and continue to converse. Holly and Allison leave after they are done with dinner. Everyone says goodbye and Allison blows a kiss at Isabella. The girls, and Mitchell and Elizabeth all finish up after they leave. But suddenly, another knock emerges at the door. 
                          
	"Hi, girls." says Louise. "Are you kidding me?!" says Elizabeth. "I'm not leaving." says Louise. "You need to. I thought you did." says Elizabeth. "I won't leave without them." says Louise. "We will not leave with you!" says both Isabella and Juliet. "I guess I'll just have to force them to come. Girls, let's go. NOW!" says Louise. "NO!" says both Isabella and Juliet. 
                          
Louise grabs their necks and twists them and the girls' fall flat to the ground. At the moment they are unstable, but quickly get back up and run to Mitchell and Elizabeth. Louise, at this moment, doesn't know what to do. She gives up, and walks back out. But she says this, "I'll be back for the girls." She leaves permanently, and the girls are all shaken up and crying at this moment. Both Elizabeth and Mitchell comfort the girls in this moment. 
                          
	"Mom, that was scary." says Juliet, still upset. "It was." says Elizabeth. "I wish she would leave us alone." says Isabella. "Honey, that's my biggest wish in life." says Elizabeth. "We want you with us. But ever since you were younger, she been out to get you girls' back as your own. She has been trying to get professional help, but has been refusing to. If she gets the help ,you girls can decide to go with her. Or if you girls want to, she'll ask you." says Mitchell. "I didn't know all of that." says Isabella. "Me neither." says Juliet. "We hope she gets that help. Until then, you are with us." says Elizabeth. "I'd rather be with you than her." says Isabella. "Same." says Juliet.
                          
 The girls' and Elizabeth and Mitchell begin getting ready for the next day. Juliet and Isabella are both shaken up still, so they each grab a snack and watch some TV before bed. Elizabeth and Mitchell grab the girls' and take them up and actually get ready for bed. Hopefully, tomorrow will bring some form of peace.
