Several streets and backyard hops later, the noise had quieted down. I filled the others in on what had happened with the sheriff.
"We need to get out of town." Xander, always thinking of the next move.
"But how?" Sarah exclaimed.
It hit me in a heartbeat. "Wes. You said he had an aunt in town, right? Do you think she'd help us?"
"Maybe," Dylan agreed, "but we don't know where she lives."
"And we can't exactly Google it," Sarah stated.
"I saw a phone booth a few streets back. Maybe there's an old phone book? Xander—." But he'd already vanished, finishing my thought before I had.
"Stay here," his bodyless voice commanded.
Minutes later, he returned, and we had our answer. "J. Briggs. 542 Cameron Grove."
