"Guys I know we tease Luke about it a lot but I am really worried about him," Ashton started. Michael, Calum and Ashton were sitting in their hotel room on their phones until Ashton spoke up.
"Is this about Liz leaving the tour?" Michael clarified receiving a nod from Ashton which made Calum sigh. Since tour started the boys had playfully teased Luke about the fact that every hotel they stayed in Luke always slept in the same hotel room as his mum. Ashton, Calum and Michael always got put in one while Luke went with his mum. The boys assumed it was because Liz wanted to keep an eye on her youngest son and make sure he was okay but that wasn't the real reason.
"I am too I guess," Calum added shutting off his phones like the other two had. As they spoke Luke was in his and his mother's hotel room while they were in there own.
"Luke will be fine guys, he will probably enjoy getting to sleep with us and away from his mum. Plus it's not like he will be by himself tomorrow night, management got us one of the big hotel rooms so all four of us can share," Michael comforted still slightly worried himself for the youngest boy, after all he was only 16.
"Yeah, I guess, he just feels so much younger which makes me want to protect him you know?" Ashton added starting to calm his nerves.
"No, I understand, I am not even a year older but I still want to look after him. But it is Luke so he would tell us if something was bothering him," Calum spoke now satisfactory that they were just over thinking the situation.
"Correct, now can we go to sleep because it is already midnight and we have to be up at 5:30 for a radio breakfast interview," Ashton said already getting ready to go to be knowing that his two bandmates would agree.
Time Skip: The next evening
"So, Luke you excited to sleep in our hotel room tonight?" Michael asked grinning wildly thinking about how much fun they were going to have. Luke nodded, pulling his earphones out of his ears at the same time that Ashton and Calum were.
"You're being more quiet than usual Luke, is something wrong?" Ashton asked warily.
"Nothing's wrong, I'm just tired Ash," Luke spoke exhaustion evident in his voice.
"Well we are at the hotel, so if you can get your arse inside you can go to sleep," Calum joked around causing Luke to give a small smile back. However, Luke wasn't just tired he was scared. The reason Luke always shared a hotel room with his mum was because he gets night terrors almost every night and was too worried the boys would make fun of him to tell them. His mum unfortunately had to go back to work after her long service leave had run out leaving Luke alone on the tour. He assured his mum before she left that he would tell the boys but his nerves were now getting the better of him stopping him from telling them. Luke came away from his thoughts when Ashton put one of his hands on his shoulder to guide him down a long hallway. Luke then realised that they were almost at their hotel room and he had been so lost in thought he didn't even process them leaving the van, getting into the hotel, making it to the lobby and into the elevator.
"You must be really tired Luke," Ashton sighed taking Luke's backpack from him putting it next to his suitcase which had been brought up by a member of their management earlier. Luke looked around to notice Calum now staring concernedly at him while Michael averted his gaze away. He felt his cheeks heat from embarrassment and quickly made his way over to his suitcase pulling out some sweats and a t-shirt to go to sleep in.
