Hong Kong x Reader it is Chinese New Years and you and your roomie visit her Asian family where you meet that one family member that has been kinda avoiding you because this is one of those ridiculous soulmate AU's. This is the one where you know the name of your soulmate.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Y/n) and  Kai had just landed in Beijing, Kai was dragging her roommate with her to celebrate New Years with her big brother Yao. All of her Asian family was going to Yao's house for the celebration and the artic girl had already dragged the poor human to New Years with the German side of her family, where they told their roomie in a drunken stupor the name of their soulmate. Cue the current conversation.
"Why is it an off the wall name though?" (y/n) whined as the undefined gendered waited for their luggage.
"Maybe to make him easier to find?" Kai grabbed the bags and hauled her friend to the exit.
"Did you just assume my sexuality?" They huffed.
"No. Leon is a name usually associated with males statistically with the off chance of like one girl whose parent's were expecting a boy. You are looking for a male now chill, Yao should be here any minute." As if on cue the minivan that the Chinese man had Alfred wrap in bright pink Hello Kitty print that screamed: "I need a Daddy."
"Is Ivan his dom?" slipped out of the ungendered individual's mouth before they could stop it.
"Possibly," Kai answered as the Yao exited his car and opened the hatchback for the bags.
"I am so glad you are finally here, aru." He said with a large grin and hugs for both of them.
"We are glad to be here," Kai spoke for the pair of them seeing as (y/n) still felt shy around most of Kai's family-not-family.
"Get in, get in. Our siblings are waiting for you and your cute roommate." He put the bags in the back of the vehicle as the two passengers got into the van.
~timeskip to avoid traffic~
The house was filled with all of the siblings mentioned. There was a group of South Asians in the corner playing Monopoly, a pair of twins were running around the living room, and there was a male and female calmly drinking tea. A male entered the living room with a tray of tea.
"Yong Soo stop chasing Hyung Soo! Ah, thank you, Leon, what tea did you make -aru?" Yao asked the Chinese man causing (y/n) to blush from the name.
"Jazmine tea, I thought that you went to pick up mei, why did you bring along someone else as well, sou?" (sister, old man(i'm obviously using google translate)) He set the tray down and turned to get another cup.
"(y/n) is Kai's roommate, be nice -aru." Yao smirked slightly at the stiffening of Leon's back.
"I'll be in the garden." The male walked stiffly out of the room.
"What did I tell you (y/n)? He was easy to find." Kai grinned and poured both Yao and the ungendered reader a cup of tea.
"It could still be someone else." (y/n) said as Yao poured a cup of tea for Kai.
"You two are talking about soulmates huh?" the girl from the coffee table spoke up.
"Mei, this is a personal matter for our guest-" Yao started in on the girl.
"It is fine, and yes we were. Why do you ask?" (y/n) cut the older male off.
"All the people in all of Kai's families don't really have any expectation to have soulmates, Kai included. If we do we need them to be like us." Mei hummed into her tea.
"Kai, what does-" they were cut off by a well-timed Yong Soo tackling them.
"I claim your breasts!" He called loudly, causing the tension to ease from the room amongst the countries.
"Yong Soo, that was uncalled for! (y/n) are you alright?" Yao helped the person up and tossed the Korean to the opposite wall.
"I need a bit of fresh air. Which way to the garden?" they asked slightly shaken. Yao nodded in understanding and lead them through his house before returning to the living room where everyone else is. They sighed before heading outside.
"They are quite the group aren't they?" A deep voice sounded from beside the door. (y/n) looked up to find their (e/c) eyes gazing into warm honey brown ones. "I'm Leon Kirkland,  and I am from Hong Kong." his words sounded like he was going to say something else, but he didn't. ((yes I know that that is probably not his name, bite me))
"(y/n) (l/n), I'm from ([insert place of origin])." They continued to gaze between the two of them.
"I-" they both started talking at the same time.
"You first." Leon smiled softly.
"Why haven't I seen you at any of Kai's family reunions?" They asked timidly looking down at their feet.
"I was scared of meeting you." He turned his head and gazed at the few winter flowers that bloomed.
"Why?" They glanced up.
"I made the mistake of playing a drinking game with Kai." He sighed.
"She got you too?" they asked before turning to look at the small blossoms.
"Let me guess, she tricked you to go to New Years with her and one of her other families right?" He looked at them and blushed slightly.
"Yes. However, she has yet to tell me anything about you." they hummed and watched the light snow that began to fall.
"She kept me updated on you without me asking her to." He placed his jacket on them since it was getting colder. "May I try something?"
"Sure. I Mean wha-" They were cut off by a pair of warm lips on theirs causing their heart to flutter.
Once they had separated Leon smirked slightly.
"Perfect." He murmured before kissing them again.
~Meanwhile, from the window~
"So what exactly is (y/n) to you -aru?" Yao asked Kai as they sipped their tea.
"They are my capital, but they don't know that yet." Kai hummed.
"You shourd ret them know." Kiku was next to the pair watching the new couple while getting inspiration for a new manga series.
