"You need to pull yourself together"... sussie spoke within her, trying to give herself some kind of discipline.

She looked at Eric who was feeling the exact same emotion as she was, except slightly opposite. Unlike sussie Eric had prayed and longed to see her again. She had spoured up curiosity amongst other feelings in him. After their encounter he went back to the club the next two nights, hoping to find her but was disappointed. And now it was like God was presenting her to him on a platter of gold and there was no way he way in hell he was letting her go again.

"So you are sussie, i didn't get your name the other time"....Eric said finally breaking the silence.

Was he serious right now sussie thought, frowining. This was supposed to be an official setting and he was brining up their little rustle in the car, she knew it was more than just a jump in the car, but those were the only words her mind could think of right now considering the way Eric approached the matter.

"Good morning I'm sussie your new assistant"....she said pretending not to hear him.

"Oh come on don't be silly" Eric laughed.."i obviously know all that detail already, i mean i requested for you so i know you are my assistant."

Wait what! What did he mean by he requested for her sussie thought. Did he plan all of this? No wonder he seemed to be taking delight in the situation. What was he trying to do?, make a fool out of her?
She was brewing a bit of anger within her, but she decided to keep her cool and act professional.

"You couldn't run away from me now could you"...Eric said smiling mischeciviously.

"With all due respect sir, i'm here to work, only on official grounds and I'll appreciate it if we both act professional"...sussie fired back.

Eric was begining to frustrate her he seemed to find this exciting and was taking pleasure in it. She thought of walking out there and then but she considered that as unethical, she decided to stay since she was already there and drop her resignation letter by the close of work it was either that or she disappers.

"Ok, we'll keep it professional for now....he stressed".
"but be rest assured I'm going to have a talk with you wether you like it or not. Welcome on board"....eric said stretching his hand to sussie to shake hands.
Sussie reluctantly took in his hand. she knew if she was going to be in the same space with him all day she had to comport herself.

"So where's my station?"..... sussie asked releasing her hand from his grip.

"Right here"....eric replied pointing to the desk just few feet away from where he's.

"Oh great!"...she mummrmed  How was she supposed to concentrate with him so close. Sussie thought he seemed not to have any problem with her presence, and was enjoying the whole thing for sure.

"So you'll be handling my work schedule from now on, fixing my meetings, travel dates and the rest".

"I know what my job entails sir I don't need to be reminded"....sussie protested, wanting to seem like she had a grip over the situation while in reality she was as lost as a stray cat.

"Sussie"....Eric laughed,

"you know my name already, stop with all the formalities"

Hell yeah! She knew his name she couldn't forget how sweetly he whispered in it her ear that night, he left an imprint of his name in her head for sure. she couldn't possibly ever forget.

"You're my boss sir".... sussie said, posing under disguise of protocol .

"Alright... if that makes you sleep well at night. But be rest assured we'll have that talk"....Eric said finally retiring to his seat, leaving sussie to settle in.

She sighed and silently and prayed in her mind for strength as she walked reluctantly to her desk. She sat down, and focused all her attention on the desk trying as much as possible not to look at Eric, but she kept stealing glances, and each time he caught her, he just laughed, that made her feel a tingle deep down her heart.

She placed her bag on the table turned on the already positioned computer and decided to start typing out her resignation letter, since she had decided to quit by the close of work she might as well get to it. She'll sure set the record as world's shortest empolyee for sure. but at this point she didn't really care, her sanity was more precious to her. Having written the letter half way, she took her eyes off the screen for a break she end Eric locked eyes.
this time she let out a chuckle without even realising it.
No! she cautioned herself, she reminded herself she was leaving and that was final. No amount of handsomeness suited with  perfection and the most charming smile she had ever seen was going to change her mind. She finally rounded up the letter, printed it out, and kept it aside.

She kept checking the time impatiently waiting, counting minutes and seconds as they ran by.

Eric on the other hand was prepping for their talk. He wanted to know what made her be with him, and why she switched all up on him the second they were done, why she didn't want to keep in touch, and what she was doing here because she seemed clueless on the job and it was quite obvious, he planned on asking her all of this and more if permitted.

Seconds passed by, so did minutes and hours and the time they had both been waiting for finally came.

Sussie took a deep breath, pulled her letter from under some pile of paper work. She got up, walked to Eric's desk, and dropped the letter.
Eric reached for it, and unfloded it while looking at her with questioning curiosity glaring from every side of his face.
having read it, he shook his head in disagreement and ripped it to shreds.
