Chapter 8: Plan and Reveals and Kansas

                                    

                                          
It was a rare moment that no one was thinking about the impending doom. But as soon as the moment came it left sooner. 
"Time to get started on fixing everything." Leo sighed. 
"I can try to help." You smiled taking his hand. 
"You're always a big help." Leo said and kissed your forehead causing you to blush. 
                          
"So are F/N and Leo are a thing now?" Jason asked confused. 
"Yep she's mine." Leo grinned. 
"Awww that's adorable. I knew you two would get together. I was shipping them the whole time. Aren't they a match made in heaven Jason?" Piper asked holding onto his arm. 
"Yeah yeah they're cute together." Jason said looking off in the distance. 
"I know I was shipping them." Annabeth smirked. 
"I didn't  know either one of them and I was shipping them!" Percy exclaimed with a smile. "I think they're even cuter than me and Annabeth." 
"Well Leo and I have to start fixing everything so I'll see you guys later." You said.
Doing the repair work wasn't your thing You couldn't even put a tire on a car. So everything that Leo was doing went over your head but Leo said you just being there knowing that you are safe by him keeps him calm and focused and that helps him. But you still felt a bit useless. 
"F/N go call a group meeting because we need to make a plan." Leo explained. 
"On it." You said and ran to get the others. 
                          
After you gathered everyone into the same area you could tell there was unease with everything. 
"We need a plan on what we are going to do. What do we know?" You asked looking at everyone to see who would speak up first. 
"Rome will be destroyed in six days." Hazel informed. 
You slammed your hand on the table. "In six days?! That's less than a week and we still need to fix this ship!" 
 "We need to go somewhere out of the way." Annabeth commented. "Plus you still have to think about your own quest and what you're going to do for that quest." 
 "What about a city in Kansas?" Piper suggested. 
"That could work." Leo said. 
"Yeah like no one goes to Kansas." Frank mentioned. 
"We have a plan let's start heading to Kansas." Percy ordered.  "F/N can I talk to you?"
 "Yeah sure." You said and followed Percy to a more private area. 
"What do you want?" You asked confused. 
"What did Octavian say?" Percy questioned his sea green eyes meeting your E/C eyes in a harsh manner. "I know it was private but I need to know." 
                          
You sighed remembering that conversation you looked at your arm and the mark of his nails were still there. 
"Well he basically said that Gaea is coming quicker than we realize and I should ally myself with him as he knows what it's like to not fit in." You told. 
"Be honest F/N are you considering allying with him?" Percy asked in a serious tone. 
"No never!" You insisted. 
He stared into your eyes looking to see if you're telling a truth or if you're lying. 
"If you're lying then you must be a great liar. I'm going to trust you. Don't betray my trust." Percy warned leaving the area to go somewhere else.  

You sighed and began walking back until you noticed the blonde son of Jupiter standing before you. You looked at his features and you noticed a scar on his face.  
"How did you get that scar?" You questions. 
"Oh umm I tried to eat a stapler when I was two years old." Jason said scratching his head in embarrassment. 
"That's why he has good taste!" Coach Hedge yelled in the distance causing you to bust out in laughter. 
                          
"So you're Hera's daughter." Jason mumbled. 
"Yeah why?" You asked. 
"It's interesting I was named after he favorite hero." He commented. 
"Well you are the son of Jupiter so it was probably so she wouldn't be mad at you. Since she doesn't like it when Zeus or Jupiter has affairs." You pointed out.  
"Yeah probably." He murmured. 
"So do you need anything?" You asked. 
He looked at you examining your features. "Is that all Octavian said or did?" 
"Well he did taint my hand." You commented and shivered remembering the moment.  
"What do you mean?" He asked being oblivious. 
"He kissed my hand." You answered. Jason's face had a look of pure disgust and faked gagged. "Ew."
"I know." You agreed. 
                          
"Looks like you captured a Roman's heart." Jason joked poking your arm. 
"I got my heart set on someone already." You smiled. 
"Before that said Roman steals you away." Jason laughed. 
"Never." You laughed. 
You noticed Piper glaring daggers as she watched you and Jason talking and laughing.  
"Well I better be off before your girlfriend comes over and kills me." You said giving him the signal that Piper is watching. 
"Oh right girlfriend." He murmured. "You should look into why Leo was acting the way he was at Camp Jupiter. Maybe you can find some answers." 
 "I'll look into it." You noted and left Jason to deal with Piper. 
                          
You were thinking about the possibilities of what could have controlled Leo.  A spell of some sort? Possession? An angry god or goddess?  Your thoughts were racing and you had no idea what the correct answer was. 
You sighed in defeat wanting to give up but something deep inside you told you that you can't give up just yet. 
"Come on F/N you're not a quitter." You heard a voice in your head say.  
The voice was right when did you ever give up? The answer to that was never even when you went to the mall and you and a lady fought over the last pair of shoes you didn't give up and you got what you wanted.   Or when you didn't know who was the person that committed the crime during the Danganronpa class trial. You never gave up. 
"I'm going to do this!" You thought to yourself determined to find out the answer. You began to go over everything and not miss a single detail. Eventually you arrived at Kansas and you went to go see everyone. 
                          
As you were looking for Leo you saw that he was alone and his face immediately lit up when he saw you. 
"Hey gorgeous." He winked. 
"Hey handsome." You winked back and wrapped your arms around him. 
"I wanted to thank you for not blaming me for the attack on Camp Jupiter and not looking at me as the enemy." Leo softly spoke. 
"I knew it wasn't you and I've been looking for the thing that caused you to act that way and I think I have an idea." You explained. 
"I'm so lucky to have you. Thank you for believing in me." Leo whispered holding you close. 
"Awwwwww they're so adorable!" Piper cooed. 
You and Leo looked back faces completely red because of embarrassment. You saw everyone's smirking faces besides Jason who was scratching the back of his head. 
                          
"Not to break up this sweet moment. But F/N you said that you have an idea on why Leo acted the way he did and launched an attack on Camp Jupiter?" Annabeth questioned raising her brow. 
"I do have an idea." You stated. 
"Out with it then." Annabeth bossed. 
"The possessing spirits the eidolons." You replied. 
Annabeth was deep in thought.  "That would explain things."
"Oh come on do you really think that's the cause?" Percy asked annoyed. 
"It's definitely something to consider." Annabeth replied. "Needless we need to make a plan. Who's going to Kansas?" 
After some debate everyone agreed on a plan. 
                          
Jason, Piper and Percy headed to Kansas to get answers about the giants and to find Bacchus. After doing some tasks you looked and saw the three come back safely. 
"We have news." Piper announced. 
"What is it?" You asked. 
"Well you were right it was eidolons." Piper replied. 
"What do we do about the giant twins?" Percy questioned. 
"Roman's won't follow them into Mare Nostrum." Jason responded. 
"Also Gaea wants two of us killed." Piper added fear dripping with every word she spoke. 
You could tell everyone was scared and just at a lost of what to do. You looked at everyone and no one knew what to say or what to do. No one had any plans or a strategy. 
"We have a lot of stress on us right now." You sighed. 
You then felt a cold wind and the temperatures around you seemed to drop to zero. You looked around fear on your face. 
"E-e-eidolons are in the room." You stammered fear in your voice.
