Alaska's P.O.V.

Arian and my dad seemed pretty civil with each other thanks to the crowd staring at them. After all, it's not everyday that their king asks for the Queen's hand from her father. I still laugh at being called a queen.

Call me the Queen of laziness and I'll agree wholeheartedly.

The official announcement was still to be made but most of Arian's people knew who I was. Allison said that she'll be giving us the first task of the BOTR (battle of the Royals) soon after the announcement was made. Arian's leech (Saumya) was no where to be seen.

I'm kinda hoping that she drowned and died in the wine that she was sipping.

A man hissed and made his way over to the throne but was stopped by Kyle. Did I do something? "Vampires can read thoughts, Miss Ivanov," he said, smirking. Well shit, of course her father won't like to hear about my fantasy of accidentally killing his daughter. I excused myself from the courtroom with Kyle behind me.

I feel like I'm everyone's top priority right now and boy does that feel good. "Alaska, wait up!" Kyle hissed. I rolled my eyes and continued brisk walking. I slipped off my heels and walked on the wet grass, enjoy every moment. It was a beautiful night indeed. The full moon shone brightly, getting rid of all the evil that resides in the dark as the stars watched over us tiny human beings.

"Well if it isn't Arian's left testicle," a voice laughed from behind us. I turned around to see a man with navy blue hair and silvery grey eyes that held my gaze with confidence. He was tan unlike most of the people here. Just one word.

Beautiful.

"You know I prefer being the right one, Parker," Kyle said with a smirk of his own. A girl walked over and wrapped her arm around Parker's bicep. They looked like siblings. "Parks, I love you but that was totally uncalled for," she mumbled, curling her wavy blonde hair around her finger.

He smirked and shook his head. "Hey the human was blocking my way. I just accidently nudged him with my car very softly. He'd die one day or another anyway," he said and shrugged.

The girl shook her head and then suddenly noticed me. She looked at me sceptically and then threw Kyle a glance. "A new replacement for me already, K?" The girl said with a teasing smile. I looked over at Kyle in confusion.

I love how they think I'm invisible.

Kyle rolled his eyes and laughed. "Ally, meet Payton and Parker Winchester, heirs to the throne of the dark world. Twins, meet Alaska Ivanov, Arian's mate," he mumbled in boredom. The twins looked at each other in surprise and then smiled excitedly. They spell trouble, don't they?

"A princess walking barefooted in front of guests? I like her," Payton mused.

"I'd rather be a pauper than have a man's arm around me the entire evening," I said humorously. The twins laughed whereas Kyle rolled his eyes. "Just so you know, Pay and Kyle dated briefly so it's gonna get awkward in a few moments and that's when I'm gonna ask you to dance with me, Alaska," Parker grinned. I smiled sheepishly at Kyle and let Parker guide me away.

Did I just make a friend?

Who needs a friend when I can just talk to myself?

"I'm Poseidon's right hand man. Met Arian when I accidentally tried to kill him," he murmured, running a hand through his jet black hair. Parker's the kind of guy over whom any teen would fan-girl. I mean boy I'd totally do him if I wasn't an awkward daisy. "Poseidon?"
