You feel yourself tense up as the fusion walked up to you. She leans against the counter as you swallow your last bite of food.
"Tell us about the cluster." It wasn't a suggestion or question. It was a demand.
"...release Peridot then we'll talk." You do your best to show no fear.
"After you tell us about the cluster." She stands up straight towering over you.
"No deal." You stand and walk only to be stopped my the fusion's strong grip on your arm."release my care unit and then we'll talk." You glare up at her.
"Care unit?" Pearl stepped forward."you mean like a parent?" She looked confused.
"By earthling terms yes she is my parent. So is Jasper and a Zircon on homeworld. I just want my care units we'll tell you what you need to know and then we'll go back to homeworld alright?" You pull your arm away from the fusion. After a bit of silence they comply with your offer and bring out peridot still bubbled. You pop it and as soon as peridot reforms you hug the gem earning a grumble.
"Hybrid." She was still on high alert and you didn't blame her you were too.
"I made a deal with them they release you we tell them about the cluster and then we find jasper and go back home." You explain.
"Hybrid....this is too important we can't tell them."
"....Peri please. We need to do this. Jasper...and that rouge lapis. They're  in trouble and we need to save them. I know you guys didn't get along well but we have to do this. Look you can blame the mission's failure on me but we need to save them." You're met with silence before a grumble of approval for cooperation. 
"Okay fusion- erm what's your designation?"
"Garnet,"
"Right ok. Garnet, and well the rest of you. You won't like hearing about the cluster so brace yourselves."you inform them before peridot goes into detail.
"This is the Cluster. A massive, artificial fusion composed of millions of Gem shards. It has laid dormant for thousands of years within this planet's crust. When this Gem activates and takes its form, the result will be catastrophic." Peridot points to a quick drawing she had done. She then holds up a picture of the earth completely destroyed as a monster emerged. Everyone tensed up except for yourself and peridot.
"....you're helping us deactivate the cluster" the fusion spoke after a long silence.
"Whoa what?! No way that was not in our agreement!" You argue.
"It is now. If you want any chance at finding jasper and lapis you're going to need us. In turn we need your help with the cluster." The fusion adjusted her visors.
"Why would I aid a planet that caused my diamond to be shattered?" Tension builds so thick it could be cut. The pearl looks traumatized as she brings her hands to cover her mouth. The fusion simply grips her fists and walks into the temple. Their amethysts simply looked downcast. Steven however looked lost.
"What do you mean?" The boy looked to you for answers.
"S-Steven. Go to the big doughnut we need to talk with hybrid." The pearl spoke up.
"He doesn't even know?" Now that aggravated you," my diamond, our diamond. Pink diamond. She's the reason why-"
"Enough!" Pearl yelled over your voice.
"No I want to know!" Steven argued.
"You're not ready." Pearl looked down at him.
"I need to know."
"How old is he? And you've kept him in the dark about it? His mom was the clod that started all of this! She was the one who shattered Pink diamond and you didn't care to tell him?!" The secret is out now. Steven looked mortified along with pearl.
"She....she shattered a gem?" Steven grasped at his shirt then looked up to her portrait.
"She shattered the very gem that brought her to existence." You stated before you were attacked by the pearl.
"He wasn't ready to hear that! He's too young! What's wrong with you?!" She had you up against a wall spear pointed to your gem. Peridot was freaking out and trying to pull her away from you.
"Pearl!" Steven got between you both.
"Come on P this isn't you." The amethyst managed to calm her down. 
"Some cooperation we have here." You glare only for peridot to starts lecturing you.
"Stop being 'edgy' hybrid! You could've gotten yourself killed! You need to learn to filter your words so you're not put in danger" her short stature didn't carry the same effect as she had hoped for.
