Aisha’s POV
Album releasing time!
So excited! So, I had no idea what to do outfit wise, and am so very grateful for my best friend, and her job because…Vogue! I end up in a white blouse with a red pleated skirt, a leather jacket on top to make the look more casual.
“Nope. You’ve been seen in white blouses and skater skirts too much, you need to change.” My publicist says, phoning me up the second I send her a pic of my outfit, as she requested.
“But-”
“No but’s, change.” Her tone changes as she goes onto say: “Make a statement.” She says before hanging up. I roll my eyes, but it’s fine, I know how stressed she is today, she’s allowed to be rude. Usually she’s absolutely lovely.
“Annie! I’ve got to change, my publicist doesn’t like it.” I call to her, and I hear her loud sigh and huff, before she gets up and makes her way over to me.
“What’d she say?” She asks, walking into my room.
“That I’ve been seen in white blouses and skater skirts too much and I need to make a statement.”
“Ugh, okay fine. Let’s make a statement.” Annie replies, her voice switching from annoyance to determination fairly quickly. I crack a smile as she wonders about, holding different combinations of clothing against me before tossing them to the side in disdain, or placing them on the bed as a possibility.
“Okay. Let’s see what she thinks of this,” Annie waves a short red pleated dress, with the perfect hint of daring and professionalism in it in front of me. My jaw goes momentarily slack at the perfection before I get up, quickly stripping of my shirt and slipping on the dress.
I slip off my original skirt and Annie quickly puts a pair of black tights in my hand. “You need to casualise it, and tights always do the job.” She explains quickly as I slip them on, smiling as she starts sifting through jewellery choices.
Finally settling on a silver bracelet, and an absolutely stunning necklace, with, again the perfect amount of casual-ness in it to make it work. Damn I love Annie sometimes.
“Come on,” I pull Annie out when she’s finally finished perfecting my outfit and her own. “We’re going to be late, for my own album release.” I laugh.
She follows me out and we’re soon at the venue. Before I know it, I’m rushed through and am put up on stage to sing for the masses of crowds out in front of the stage. I can hardly believe so many people are here.
“Oh my gosh guys, this is absolutely amazing.” I exclaim as I reach the mic. “I don’t know if you guys know how many people are in the crowd right now, because I know it’s hard to tell-been there, done that-but I am finding it difficult to comprehend the fact that so many of you give a shit about what I do!” I pause, realising what I’d just said. “Ooh, can I say that?” I look around for an answer and Karen just smiles, nodding and rolling her eyes at me slightly.
“Okay cool,” I laugh. “So, hello. I’m Aisha, for anyone who doesn’t know,” I wave a little. “And today is mega, mega exciting because I’m releasing my solo album today!” I can’t keep the smile of my face at the time.
“Before my hand falls off from signing CD’s, I’ve been told to perform two pieces from the album. So, after lots and lots of inner debating; I’ve finally come to the decision of singing ‘Living in The Moment’ (A/N Jason Mraz, but in this it’s Aisha’s own song XD), and performing the piece I know everyone’s eager to hear: Incomplete Perfection.” (Cory’s piece).
