"Elizabeth is your sister".
I felt my blood run cold.
What the fuck?
I could hear my pounding heart in my ears as my hands trembled and tears threatened to make their way to my eyes. My throat closed up and I struggled to regain my composure in front of them.
"That's bullshit" My voice shook, barely above a whisper.
"You're struggling to believe that Alex" Joseph said, "I can see it in your eyes... But you know it makes sense, just like Noah and Logan and all your friends know it does too".
I clenched my hands in a fist so tightly that they drew blood.
"I'm sure you've noticed that Beth's hair is not naturally blonde- it's much like yours actually, like your mother's- your brother requested to dye it so you wouldn't find out"
What the fuck?
"I had the same dream for this city a while ago, that I would have control over the city but your parents wouldn't have it and they had stopped my plan five years ago",
My heart clenched painfully in my chest as my stomach churned sickeningly.
"I ordered to kill your parents that night, Alex"
What the fuck?
"That man you killed was one of my men... The other one took Beth and Noah blames Logan for it".
Suddenly the light above me flickered to red, encasing the room in a deep shade of crimson as an alarm blared.
In that moment I had to push away all the emotions that were threatening to spill over inside me, this could be my only chance.
While Elliot, Anna and Joseph were distracted with the disturbance I had lifted myself off the floor, heading straight for Joseph.
And then I punched him in the face,
He stumbled back a few steps and I headed for Anna next.
She saw me coming and I dodged the punch she threw at me, then I threw hit after hit at her stomach. She doubled over and groaned.
I had all this adrenaline pumping through my veins and although I was exhausted I couldn't give up, I couldn't just stop fighting and wish that someone would come and save me.
I saw through my peripheral vision Elliot coming from behind me so before he had a chance to get a blow in I had elbowed him in the face, I spun around to see him holding his mouth which had blood dripping from it.
Abruptly I received a hard kick to my back, which sent me tumbling to my hands and my knees on the concrete floor, I groaned at the impact before Anna kicked my side again and I fell flat out.
Well that went well.
By now Elliot had grabbed my collar and lifted me up against the wall, he wrapped his hand around my neck and my lungs burned as I struggled to get air in.
"Enough!" Joseph yelled,
Elliot let go of me and I crumpled to the ground, my gaze shifted over to Joseph who had his gun trained directly at me.
"Get the fuck up," he ordered and I slowly lifted myself up,
"Try anything and I will shoot your brains out, Hunter," he said sternly.
Joseph slowly moved behind me while grabbing something out of his pocket, which turned out to be a black cloth and he gagged me with it.
He roughly grabbed my hands and held them together tightly so I couldn't move them, then he placed the gun to the back of my head.
