Cold Hard Stone Part 2

Start from the beginning

"Master baggins, I suggest you keep up." Thorin's voice fell behind me.

'Oh just leave him be. He will be fine." I rolled my eyes. The poor hobbit has been through enough.

Up the winding cliff path we went. Rocks creaking under my boots as I stepped on them. My wounds were healed, only light scars stayed now thanks to the elvish healing. Still my feet were wrapped up still for extra padding, like another layer of a thin sock. It would help during the night if It was cold. Keeping me from freezing.

We exited the forest a few hours later, and now we're heading down a open field rocky terrain. To keep things interesting Kili, and I decided to play a little game. Seeing how long we could only walk on large rocks and not touch the ground while keeping up with the others in our place.

*Tap tap* My feet went over the hard rocks smiling a bit at how fun this actually was, knowing how I could walk again properly. I had the sudden urge to run ahead just to stretch my legs. Fili didn't care about our little game, as long as we were enjoying this time was all that mattered to him. It was nice to see Kili, and I being happy again, not like when we were getting chased by wargs. That memory haunted Fili, and didn't wish to see me in such a dangerous place again.

By the time we reached the rushing waterfall the group was already spread out. I was far away from Thorin who basically walked alone in his own little word. I paused for a moment by the water.

"??uh..____?" Kili blinked at me. "Hold on. I can't miss this." I said not caring as I reached out my water container to gather spring water that fell down next to us. "Okay, let's go." I said closing it.

That was until something chilled my bones. "_____!" A low shout came from ahead of me, literally from the other side of the waterfall were fields were starting to form again. Bilbo tilted his head at this, along with Fili, and Kili.

"Don't trail behind. You are to stay near me at all times!" His voice echoed up to me. "Oh.......mh...." I averted my eyes for a moment.

"Come Now!" Thorin called once again his voice sounding louder. "Tch......." I began to walk faster, but this didn't stop me to give one last free glance at the brothers.

'Kili...Fili." I looked up at them. Trying to get them to notice. Bilbo could see the look of terror in my eyes. He knew how I was scared of Thorin being loud near me, or to me. My eyes pleading, but they didn't seem to catch this.

"........" I kept my head down as I jogged after the dwarf leader ahead. 'Oh well...' I let it slight seeing how poor Fili was loaded up with carrying bags once again, along with his own weapons. There was no way I would force them.

"Did you not see that?" Bilbo shot a question at the brother's. "Huh, see what?" Kili blinked. Seeing me run off into the distance to his uncle.

"The look on her face." Stated Bilbo blankly, realizing just how clueless Kili could be at times. "She seemed fine, to.. me?"

"Huh...." Bilbo rolled his eyes. "She is afraid of Thorin. Especially was he calls to her....."

The brother paused taking a moment seeing me just arrive next to their uncle's side. Kili could feel a sting inside of him seeing how they couldn't stop me from going. Fili swung the weight of a bag up onto him higher trying to adjust. "We'll keep an eye out, just in case." Fili tried to make his brother's mood lighten.

"Right." Bilbo watched." So will I. I'm not afraid of Thorin, but I fear....for _____ some times."

The brother's picked up their pace a little wanting to get a little closer to make their presence help me feel better. Even though if I couldn't look back at them.
