"And why should I?"Marinette crossed her arm sassily.
"Because you don't wanna know the consequences," Chat said mischievously.
Marinette gulped."And w-what would that be?"
He smirked mischievously."You'll find out if you choose to be uncooperative."
Marinette thought, Why is this cat so secretive?!
She sighed. "I guess I don't wanna know what 'the consequences' are, so... What do you want me to do?"
Chat's face turned serious... For once. "We're sailing towards the kingdom of Parisa, the most powerful and wealthiest kingdom of the seven seas. All we need is a little luck to get through the palace guards."
"So basically, you want me to take care of the guards while you terrorize the palace and its people," Marinette deadpanned.
"Pretty much."
"Your such a coward," she mumbled.
"I heard that ya know."
Marinette scoffed.
Chat's expression suddenly back to its signature cocky, flirty smirk. "Anyways, do we have a deal?"
Marinette had no choice but to obey. The way he said "the consequences" made chills run down her spine. It made her think that somehow, whatever "the consequences" were worse than being killed.
"I guess I have no choice do I?"
"Nope. Unless your curious enough to find out what your consequences will be..."
"Curiosity killed the cat," Marinette acknowledged.
He chuckled. "Before we move on to our heist, I have a question for you."
"Hm?"
"Can you even control your powers?"
