Clint continued to try and press Katherine's buttons before standing up along side Katherine once they both noticed their target was getting up and leaving. They both looked at each other but decided to say nothing.
"Well it's been fun but I've got to go." Katherine smirked. "It's time for the adults to go to work."
Clint just rolled his eyes before following her, much to her dismay. Katherine tried her best to loose him but Clint just kept following her around everywhere she went. Finally Katherine had enough of it and turned around, pulling him into an alley way and shoving him up against the wall.
"If you wanted to go out, all you had to do was ask." Clint laughed while Katherine rolled her eyes.
"Look, I have a job to do so stay out of my way or i'll rip your throat out with my teeth." Katherine threatened while stepped away. "I've become an expert at separating flesh from bone so unless you'd like me to do a demonstration on you, i'd stay out of my way."
Clint just laughed slightly to himself as Katherine looked at him confused. "You're not as intimidating as you think you are."
Katherine rolled her eyes while she started walking out of the alley and making her way back to her target. Clint still followed close behind her until she tripped him and quickly disappeared into the crowds. Clint cursed to himself before trying to push his way through the crowds, trying to find Katherine.
He looked everywhere for her but he had lost her. He cursed to himself before getting a heads up that his target was going to be at some nightclub later. Clint quickly hung up before still looking around for Katherine, who he couldn't find.
'if she wants a game of cat and mouse, she'll get one in deed.' Clint thought to himself before making his way back to his motel where he was staying. The whole walk back, Clint couldn't help but wonder... how come he was so invested in this one girl. Katherine was nothing to him other than a face right...?
After all... he hardly knew anything about Katherine other than it looked like she was a hired assassin and the fact that she was not messing around when it came to 'her jobs'. She did after all almost have him run down by a train just for 'getting in her way'. Clint sighed before letting his mind wonder to think about Katherine, a girl whom he didn't even know if she even meant anything. He had no clue. All he knew was that ever since he laid eyes on her, he couldn't get her out of his mind.
There was just something about her that Clint couldn't stop thinking about. She had gotten into his bloodstream completely reliving him of any plausible thinking....
As much as Clint wanted to follow his instructions, he couldn't just leave, not without having another word with Katherine. There was something about her that Clint just wanted to protect, he wanted to make sure she was safe. And without thinking, Clint told his commander that he wasn't quite ready to leave the mission yet, even though he had gathered way more information on his target than he needed.
He was going to stay behind for Katherine.. not because he was ordered to, not because he thought it was the best for his mission
but because he wanted to....
