Eve POV
To make myself not have a panic attack, I've been telling myself that going back to New York might be okay. I've been doing that the past few days we were in Disney, but now that we're actually in New York, I feel absolutely sick.
We're in the taxi going home and I can't stop thinking about the worst possible thing. Avery is sleeping beside me, which I'm thankful for. I don't want her to notice my uncomfortableness and me about to panic.
Harry's hand slips on top of mine and he kisses my cheek. I rest my head on his shoulder and close my eyes.
I keep telling myself to try to think positivity, but it's hard when everything in my mind is negative.

We stand on our porch two hours later. I feel sick and I don't even want to go inside.
Harry puts his key in and turns it open. I notice his hesitation when we didn't hear the door unlock. It was already open.
"Eve, why don't you take Avery to Liam's to visit the the dogs, yeah?" Harry turns around and looks at me. It's a look, that I can't understand, but soon know the meaning of.
"Yeah, I'll do that," I say with a faint smile. I pick up my daughter and walk down the porch.
"I miss Max and Lucy," I hear my daughter comment while holding onto me.
"And I bet they missed you too darling," I kiss her cheek.
I ring Liam's door bell, and I'm a few moments, hear footsteps come our way. The wooden door is soon pulled open with Sophia. "Hey!" She greets with a wide smile.
"Hi," I say with a gentle grin. I soon see Max and Lucy run up to us. Max jumps on my body causing me to smile. I put Avery down and she goes and hugs her pets. Max is big enough for her to hug. Lucy, needs to be picked up though.
"Can you uh watch her for a moment?" I ask Sophia who nods with a smile.
"Everything alright?" She asks.
"Yeah," I say. Thank her with a hug then leave their house. I quickly walk to where Harry is, and feel my heart pound against my chest thinking about what could be inside. Or who even.
I open the front door to my home and see Harry in the foyer. What catches my eye is all the things we own, broken. There are chairs broken as well as broken picture frames. Other pieces of furniture is broken too.
"Oh my god," I say while looking around. The floor is covered with broken glass and wood.
Harry tugs his hand through his hair and bites his lower lip. "I looked upstairs," He says. "All the rooms are trashed, even Avery's," My eyes pinch with tears.
"I'm sorry," I say while covering my mouth with my hand. Harry walks over to me and wraps his arms around my body.
"Why are you saying sorry? This isn't your fault," His voice is soft sounding.
"It is. He's my ex, a-and I'm putting everyone in danger," I manage to say through a sob. "I'm sorry," I repeat again.
His arms are around me tightly and my nerves are still racked up. "This isn't your fault," He says.
"Y-Yes it is," I say through trembling breaths. "You and Avery don't deserve this. I-I shouldn't have been with anyone after John
con-considering. I-I'm putting everyone in d-danger,""Stop talking like you wanted this to happen," He says. "This isn't your fault, and no is blaming you," His fingers run though my hair and his lips touch my cheek.
"I'm blaming me because you shouldn't have to d-deal with J-John," I say through tears. My husband's grip on me is tight but secure. "I'm sorry," I say again.
His head shakes against me. "You have nothing to be sorry about," He tells me again. "I don't want you or Avery to stay here," Harry tells me.
I take my head off of his chest and look at him. I wipe my damp eyes and sniffle. "And you, right?"
"I need to clean up the house and check everything out. Plus, I want to set up the alarm system. You and Avery can stay at your Dad's house," Harry says.
"I'm not letting you stay here alone," I say. "You're coming with us, if we're going,"
"Eve-"
"No. This isn't the time to act all manly. You're coming with us," I say, my voice deepening. He steps closer towards me and rests his hands on my elbows. His green eyes look into mine and I chew my bottom lip.
"I'll meet you guys up there, okay? Take your car and go to your Dad's or stay at hotel. I'll meet you there later," He compromises. My head shakes.
"Why can't I stay and help you? O-Or why can't we go together?" I ask.
"Because if John does come over again at some point, I don't want you to be here," His eyes look into mine. "I'll be at where ever you are, in three hours tops, I promise."
"No," I say. "I'm n-not letting you stay here alone,"
"I'll be fine," His hands cup my cheeks. My eyes close and I bite down on my jaw. "Three hours,"
"Two hours and you text me every half an hour t-to tell me how everything is going," I stammer.
"Okay," He kisses me. My head goes into his chest and I hug him. "I'll be fine, Eve,"
"You better," I comment. Guilt rises in me and I shake my head. "I can't,"
"Yes you can, and you will. I'll be fine," His lips touch my cheek. "You can take the dogs with you, I know Ava missed them." I take my head off of his chest and look into his eyes. "I love you,"
"I love you too," I say. I kiss him for a while and hug him once more. I hesitate to leave the house, but I soon do.
Each time I take a step away from Harry, the more I feel sick. He keeps telling me he'll be okay, but allowing myself to let him be alone is what's getting to me.
I stop walking once I'm down by the driveway. My phone beeps and I read the text.
Harry: keep walking I'm fine
Me: :(
Me: I can't leave you alone
Harry: you will
Harry: I'll see you in 2 hours
Me: :(
Harry: I love you
Me: I love you too
