Quirks. A genetic mutation that's spread across the world. Starting off with first of its discovery of a glowing baby in China. As the discovery of quirks grew, one thing was becoming clear. Fantasy becoming reality. BOver 80% of the world had developed these powers dubbed as "Quirks" and have now been a job people achieve of doing one day.
Becoming a hero.
Its a dream come true to become a hero. Where so much as heroes are even a job in this era. Fighting villains, receaving government pay, saving lives, glory and fame. Some would say the lives of heroes are easy. Where as lives of a villain are crule and dark. But as I explore around the subjects of heroes and villains, I cant help but ask myself this...
Izuku's Pov:
"Is it worth it to be a hero? Is it better off being a villain?" I said to myself as I walked down the street to my middle school. It was nothing of outstanding or distasteful choice. It was an ordanary school filled with ordinary teens hoping to achieve great things as heroes.
Except me. I don't really know what to do with my life right now. But if I choose something, that'll be a laugh for the class if it has anything to do with heroic work. I see a few others laugh or snicker at me as I pass by the halls of Orenio Jr. High, but I'm use to this. It's not easy living a life as a quirkless teen.
The outcast of people your age, the troubles of making friends, the bullying and teasing. I'm use to it and just let them spout their crap. Because if you take away their quirks, then they're just humans like me. And nothing can take that fact away. 'Another day, and more time wasted on school.' I thought as I headed to my seat and pulled out a book from my bag.
"You're all seniors now! You all should think about your futures!" I heard the teacher yell at the rambuctios and loud classmates of mine as I just ignore them and still read. "I was gonna pass put these career sheets to you..." I heard him say as I could hear and glanced that my classmates activated their quirks.
"I assume you're all going for the heroics industry." The teacher said as the rest of the class cheered and showed off their quirks. 'No duh. Seriously it's like the only job they'd want if they've got a good quirk. *Sigh* So annoying.' I thought as I flipped the page of my book.
"Sensei! Don't add me in with these rejects." A familiar voice shouted as I just shook my head and tried to ignore him. 'Honestly you never seem to know how to shut up Katsuki.' I said in my head as I didn't want to start a fight.
Katsuki Bakugou. Also as I call him Kacchan. He and I were pretty good friends back when we were kids. He and I live in the same neighborhood so I guess some could call us childhood friends. But after he got his quirk, Explosion, he became more a jerk to those weaker than him. I tend to try and avoid him as possible, but he just likes to kick me when I'm down.
"Ah that's right, Midoriya is attempting to enroll into UA as well." The teacher said as I looked up my book to see everyone staring at me. Then, as expected, they all laughed at me for wanting to enroll in UA. It was a heroics academy that ensures becoming a pro hero by the time of graduation. A dream school to anyone wanting to be a hero.
"Ha ha! Midoriya a hero!?"
"What's he gonna do? Bore the villains with booksmarts?"
"He's quirkless and he wants to go to UA?"
I closed my book in annoyance as I let out an angry and exhausted sigh. 'What gives them a right to laugh at me wanting to try?' "Yeah? So what I'm applying to UA. I don't see any of you wanting to go there! The way I see it, you're all in the same boat as me." I couldn't hold it anymore as i snapped.
