Wilson's P.O.V

Sophie's graduation is next week and I'm as sick as I could get. I haven't been sick in a while so this one is pretty serious. I hated hospitals and nothing is taking me there.

I and Sophie, we made up.

After what she did, I asked her to stay away from me. She calls my phone every hour, sends me apology texts and even comes to my doorstep to cry. Crazy right?

She called mum and Wendy to apologize and even asked her parents to call me and plead on her behalf

Ha! But whenever I tell her to apologize to Olivia, she refuses. Then how does she want me to forgive her? She's not ready.

Finally, after much pleading for about four months, I forgave her, just before the exams started. I didn't want to be the reason for her having an extension. She later agreed and apologized to Olivia. A year has passed since then and there's not been any issue. I made sure my girlfriend and bestie never crossed part.

What I didn't understand at the moment is why I fell sick. Is it that I'd miss Sophie's drama or what? I just didn't understand.

I dialed Sophie's number and she told me she had to do some shopping and would be on her way with some drugs and food from 'K and K'. 'That place again?'. at least, for the past four months, I didn't eat there. Sophie has started again. I told her not to worry about the food and just come with the drugs.

'I could use some pepper soup. I heard it helps one to recover quickly and I doubt Sophie knew how to prepare that'.

I called Olivia and asked her to bring pepper soup for me and that I would pay back any amount she spends. She agreed and I decided to wait for them. I really hoped Olivia comes earlier so she can leave quickly in order not to keep the two of them in the same room.

"Baby, how are you feeling" Sophie bursts into my room, coming to feel my body temperature.

"I'm good babe, my body is just craving for attention" I said and smiled at my little joke.

"But you are hot. Don't you think you need to see a doctor?" She persisted.

"Fuck no! I ain't going nowhere".

"Have you eaten? Should I still go and buy food from..." A gentle tap on the door interrupted her.

"Who is it? Come in". Sophie urged and Olivia stepped in.

Sophie's countenance quickly dropped when she lowered her gaze and saw the food flask in a plastic bag on her hand.

" Wilson, is this why you don't want me to get food for you?" Sophie asked downcast.

I didn't have strength for argument. 'I'm fucking sick'.

"I was craving pepper soup, so I asked her to make for me". I replied calmly. Things just didn't go as I planned. And why would it when I called Sophie first.

" Why didn't you tell me? Why did you tell her instead?" She pushed on.

"Jeez! For Christ's sake, can we not argue about this? My head aches as fuck". I tried to sound as commanding as possible.

"Um, Wilson, I'll just drop this and go. Get well soon" she said and gave me a small smile before leaving.

"Wilson, how dare you still place this girl before me?" She raged. "Why do you keep making things seem like she's more important than I am?"

"Sophie please. This is not a matter of importance. She only played the role of a friend and you're here to play the role of my girlfriend. Can you just stop nagging already?" I pleaded.
