"He's right there! Now's your chance to make a move, go!" My best friend Diana pushed me to talk to my crush, Dansby.

I've had the hugest crush on this boy since I was 14, its been 2 years and I'm not over the curly headed idiot. Him and I are somewhat close, which is why I'm scared to tell him how I feel. What if he doesn't feel the same way? Then there goes our friendship.

Dansby was leaning against his locker on his phone. He was probably checking to see if his favorite baseball team was winning. I somehow found myself in front of him but he hadn't noticed. "Braves better be winning." I said, he jumped a little.

"Don't sneak up on a guy when he's watching the braves game." He joked, chuckling a little bit. His smile made my stomach do backflips, I'm obsessed. "And yeah, so far so good. But it's barely the 6th inning, alot can happen." He looked back down at his phone.

I realized that I wouldn't be able to have a serious conversation with him if he's too focused on the game right now. "Hey if you have the chance after practice, I wanted to talk to you about something."

He hesitantly put his phone away, oh god..

"What's up?" His attention was on me now, kill me now. I took a deep breath, I had to make this perfect.

I looked back up to dansby, his face had confusion written all over it. "Okay well.." I trailed off.

Suddenly the bell rung, it was now or never. Dansby picked up his backpack, I had to do it now!

"I like you." The three words slipped out so perfectly, I'm surprised I didn't stutter that. My eyes were focused on him, his eyebrows had raised but that was it.

"Oh?" He whispered, almost like it was to himself. That answer wasn't the one I was looking for, I had gotten my answer already and I'm kind of disappointed.

The hallways were starting to clear up, I don't think either one of us cared if we were late at this point. I can tell he was still thinking as was I. I realized I was a little too close to him, I stepped back which made him look at me.

"You like Me? Like have feelings for me?" He whispered again, why was he acting so weird?

I nodded my head, I knew that maybe he didn't feel the same way. I can feel the tears coming up, I tried my best not to break down. I wanted to get out of here, I wanted to go to my room and never come out. "I have to go." I simply said before storming down the hall.

I heard him yell to wait up, he grabbed my bag and spun me around. "I'm sorry, but everyone knows that baseball is my main focus right now." He said.

"It's fine." Those were the last two words I said to him, who would've thought that him and I wouldn't be friends anymore after that.
