Jesy stayed for tonight and comforted me. She is the best, I could never have asked for a better best friend. After I cried my eyes out in front of her for like so many times, I grew tired. I realized I was suffering too much, but I couldn't do anything. I tried to take my mind off of things, I failed. Then Jesy said she wanted to help, at least a bit, and told me to step outside. Maybe in that way, I could forget. That's what she said. So tonight, Jesy and I would meet up with Harry, Troye, and Leigh for dinner. I guess, dinner with friends won't be bad. I also missed them, so why not? But if Jesy wasn't here, I would've never came out of my house until I'm brave enough to. We're at a park we all use to go to as meeting place, waiting for the other 3 to arrive. I smiled when I saw the dancing lights at the lake. It was beautiful. The cold night's breeze embraced me, making me slightly shiver. Good thing I brought my parka. Party music from the distance was heard, dimmed streetlights hung on trees. I looked up, hoping to see the stars, but there were none. I frowned but smiled when I saw the city's lights. This is why I've always loved the night. Either starless nights or moonless ones. In either way, you will always find light. Lights that fits so well with the indigo-colored sky.  It was like saying, darkness always has this indestructible little light, which was hope. My thoughts were interrupted by a pair of arms snaking around my neck, and covering my eyes.

"Guess who? Smartass." The person said. I giggled at what they called me. There was only one person who would always call me that when I show my intelligence, Leigh-Anne. I immediately turned around and hugged her tight.

"Miss me?" She giggled while the others 'awwed' .

"Very much" I replied. I pulled away to hug Harry and Troye.

"I missed you guys!" I said pulling them for a group hug. They chuckled and we each had smiles on our faces.

"We missed you too Poopey" Harry said.

"Been a long time, eh? I'm glad you showed up Jade" Troye added. I smiled at him and looked at Jesy which had a wide grin.

"Thank this one, if she didn't pulled off the puppy eyes, I wouldn't be here!" We all laughed as Jesy rested her chin on my shoulder.

"Hungry yet? Cause I am" Leigh stated. We all agreed to eat now that we had our little moment.

..........

Engrossed in each other's conversations, the people in the restaurant seemed joyful. Jesy wanted anything healthy, Harry and Leigh wanted cheeseburger and fries, while Troye and I decided to have pasta. The food was fantastic in here, everyone was having a good time. I stayed quiet most of the time, not really into what they were talking about. And of course they understood that. After what recently happened. Our table was beside the big transparent windows, I suggested it. No one bothered to argue and just sat down. While I looked through the window, a couple caught my eye. They were sat at the bench facing the lake near the park we were at previously. Holding hands, they stole glances from each other while sweet smiles stayed visible on their faces. Their heads on top of one another, looking contented as they stare at the view of the mesmerizing lake.  Familiar, I thought. And then all just clicked.

~Flashback~

"What do you see in the future Jadey?" She asked me while leaning her head onto my shoulder. I placed my head on top of hers before answering.

"Me and you, still together. Living as happy as ever. Looking at our children playing, with laughter from our friends and family engrossed in their own conversations. And as time pass, our hair would be gray and we would have wrinkles. This time, watching our grandchildren play. The sun setting, and us saying 'I love you, always and forever' " I said and looked at her. Her eyes were glassy but happiness and awe were seen in them.

"That's wonderful, Jade. I look forward on seeing that day come" She replied and we kissed. At that moment, I could see what I said. Our future.

~Flashback end~

"Jade, are you alright?" Harry asked me as I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Of course I am, why?" I replied. I must've zones out or something.

"You're crying babe" Leigh-Anne added. Shit. They're eyes were all on me. That's when I noticed a few tears had come out. They looked at me worriedly, Jesy with a panicking look.

"Did we said something? Or maybe yo-" I interrupted Jesy.

"I'm fine...Just remembered something." I tried to smile at them. They all let out a relieved sigh. Jesy looked at me knowingly. I avoided her gaze and finished my pasta.

Why did I have to remember that?!? This is harder than I thought.
