The next day, Scott found himself sitting across from Kirstie at the Starbucks near his apartment. "So Kit," Scott said, glancing up from his phone to look at her. She took a sip of her coffee before nodding, showing that she was listening. "Mitchy's having his gender reassignment surgery on Tuesday so I want to do something nice for him. Any suggestions?"

Kirstie gasped, quickly putting her phone down on the table and nodding. "Aw Scott, this is so exciting for him! What if you take him on a date?" Scott thought about it for a minute before a grin spread across his face.

"Ooh good idea! And I think I know the perfect place," he exclaimed, waving a hand at her. Kirstie laughed at his obvious enthusiasm. "Great! Mitch must be really excited," she said. "Only four more days until his surgery. Are you going with him?"

Scott nodded. "Of course! He came over to my house and was nearly in tears because he was so happy. I want to be there for him." Kirstie was so happy for both Scott and Mitch. The brunette was perfect for her best friend and was exactly the kind of person that Scott needed.

"I'm glad you met him," she smiled. "I'm glad he came to that meet and greet and stole your heart." Scott chuckled at the memory. "Yeah, me too. I remember the first time I saw him. He was beautiful then and he's still beautiful now."

They talked for another hour before Kirstie had to go. "I'll talk to you later, okay Scotty? You have a date to plan!" Scott grinned. "I can't wait! I think Mitch is gonna love it!" Kirstie giggled, then stood up to give him a hug. "Of course he will! Have fun, I'll see you later Scotty." The blonde was already lost in his thoughts, saying a quick goodbye and giving her a smile before leaving the store a few minutes after her.
