My eyes slowly flutter open and i let out a faint groan. I blink a few times and grab the note taped on my forehead. I furrow my eyebrows and sit on the edge of my bed

I look down on my hand to see scratches on my palm. I furrow my eyebrows and i put the note inside the drawer with the other two before walking towards the bathroom. I look at myself on the mirror and saw a band aid on my cheekbone
                          
Faces and names of people started to appear inside my head and i shook my head, splashing my face with water and brushing my teeth

I close my apartment behind me and my phone dinged
                          
Corinna: are you on your way to work? Can you cover my shift please?
                          
I rolled my eyes before typing a quick 'okay'. I walk towards the elevator and saw the 'out of order' sign. I let out a breath and turn around, bumping into someone's chest, almost falling due to the harsh impact
                          
"Sorry!"I said and he grabbed both of my shoulder, preventing me from falling down. He look down at me and i widen my eyes. He cleared his throat and let go of my shoulder, looking behind me
                          
"I guess i'll—uh take the staircase,"He said
                          
"S—shawn?"I blurt out and he stops in his tracks before continuing his way towards the staircase
                          
I took a deep breath before slowly making my way towards the staircase. After a few minutes, i finally arrived at the lobby. I walk out towards the street and make my way towards my workplace. I walked inside and place my things inside my locker
                          
"Amber! There you are"Corinna said, appearing beside me
                          
"Hey,"I said, tieing the apron around me
                          
"Did something happen? You look like shit and what is that band aid about?"She asked
                          
"Nothing, i just fell"I lied and she nod
                          
"I'll see you soon"She said, hugging me
                          
"I know you're lying,"She whispered and i rolled my eyes, shooing her. I make my way towards the cashier and started to take the orders from a few customer waiting in line
                          
"Thank you for coming"I said, as the middle-aged woman move aside to wait for her order and another customer move infront of me
                          
"One turkey sandwich and vanilla milkshake, please"She said, rumaging through her bag
                          
"That'll be $4.37"I said and she give me her money. I glance at her face and i stood there, frozen on my spot
                          
"Brea,"I said and she widen her eyes before moving aside
                          
"Keep the change"She said and i put the five-dollar bill inside the machine. I quickly serve the last customer waiting and walk towards her table
                          
"May i sit here?"I asked and she nod at me. I took off my apron and sit down infront of her
                          
"You're Brea, right?"I asked and she glance at me
                          
"You give me this necklace, didn't you?"I asked, taking the moon pendant from my pocket and showing it to her
                          
"Does it matter?"She asked, taking a bite out of her sandwich
                          
"Yes, and i need answers. I hope you can help me"I said
                          
"By doing what?"She asked
                          
"Explain to me everything. I remember names and faces of strangers"I said and she furrow her eyebrows
                          
"Who are they?
                          
"Shawn, Brea, Daniel, Alex, Travus, Xander, Lilith, Miranda"I said and she looked at me
                          
"I remember them and i know what they looked like. But i don't know where i met them before"I said and she stands up from her seat
                          
"I can't help you"She said
                          
"I'm sorry,"She said walking out of the cafe and i follwed her
                          
"Please, i beg you,"I said, grabbing her hand
                          
"Explain everything to me,"I said and she shook her head no
                          
"Why not? Is there something i shouldn't know about?"I asked and she sighs, noding
                          
"I want to help you, but i can't. Not now, it's too risky"She said and with that, she blend in with the busy people in the streets. I let out a sigh and rubbed my face, going back inside
