"i'm going to miss you!"

"we need go to out this summer."

"we should keep in touch."

people i faintly remember seeing in school kept saying those little white lies. i mostly walked around school with my head low, i couldn't remember for the life of me the names of my classmates. i've probably studied with them since kindergarten and i still wouldn't recognize them.

"i can't believe my baby girl is all grown up." mom said and sniffed as she patted her cheek with a napkin. "i'm going to ruin my makeup, i need to stop being so emotional."

"you're looking a little fat, darling." my grandma said. "you should get on a diet, do you still fit in your prom dress?"

i grimaced. "i've always loved your compliments, grandma."

"i say it because i love you, my dear."

"yes, of course." i sighed.

one thing i always hated about my grandma is that she loved to talk about how i had to get on a diet and exercise more. but now we were in the middle of my high school graduation and i was embarrassed as hell.

i heard some squeals and screams, i shrugged it off as my classmates celebrating that we were officially adults. or kind of.

but when i got near the girls that were squealing i saw a familiar curly haired guy trying to make his way out of the crowd. i rolled my eyes. girls that didn't even spare him a glance when we was in school with us were now falling at his feet. it was pretty funny how desperate they looked, they were having a competition over who would keep his attention.

but when he spotted me just a couple feet away from the girls he said something to them before walking in my direction.

i smiled. "i thought you were coming next week."

"and miss your graduation? nuh-uh." his smile widened, showing off his cute dimples.

i hugged him, the little time we had last time we visited me wasn't enough for me. he hugged me back and my feet weren't touching the floor anymore. i giggled and kicked my legs in the air, asking zabdiel to put me down. he set me back down on the floor, but we were still hugging.

"te extrañé." i murmured into his chest.

i felt his chest raise and fall as he breathed. i closed my eyes, hearing his heartbeat. he kissed the top of my head before answering me.

"yo más, baby."
