23) The Motive

                                    

                                          
Eren's POV
                          
I open my eyes to a sheer burst of sunlight shining in my eyes. I roll over and realize I wasn't in my normal bed, or room for that matter.
                          
It took me a few seconds to comprehend that I was at Levi's, and my heart finally calmed down at the thought. I knew I was safe here for now.
                          
I rolled out of bed and stood up a little too fast, causing me to fall straight on my ass. "Ow." I groan, but I hope I didn't wake up Levi. I grab my phone to check the time.

I woke up way too early...
                          
I decide to go see if Levi was up yet and I knock lightly on his door. "Levi?" I whisper. 
                          
No answer.
                          
I open the door slightly to see a neatly made bed and no sign of him. I figured his class today just started pretty early so I shrugged it off and went into the kitchen to make breakfast.
                          
I head over towards the fridge to grab some milk and see a note pinned to the fridge.

I had to leave pretty early for English, but I should be back around 10 or so. I think you'll still be in class since you go in later than me, but just letting you know.
                          
P.S.- breakfast is in the oven. 

                          
I look over towards the oven and see something similar to a casserole sitting inside. I open the oven door and I'm greeting with the smell of bacon and eggs.
                          
"He made us breakfast?" I whispered astonished. I immediately blushed realizing how I made it sound as if we were together by saying 'us.' 
                          
I got out a plate from the dishwasher and dished out a few spoonfuls of Levi's breakfast. I sat down at the table taking a bite, and moaning from the taste. It was delicious! I honestly had no idea what it was, but there was definitely eggs, bacon, and sausages throughout. 
                          
After a while of just watching some tv, I decided to get a shower and start getting ready for class.

After my shower I had gotten dressed and was about ready to walk out the door when there was a knock. My heart sped up and I took a deep breath. 
                          
There's no way it could be them again, right?
                          
Since Levi didn't have a peep hole, I just had to open the door and find out. I swung it open to a somewhat familiar face.
                          
"Hi there! Oh wait... I know you." She sighed, dramatically putting her hand on her chin to look like she was deep in thought. "OH MY GOD YOU'RE EREN RIGHT!? AHH! I REMEMBERED SOMETHING HAHA!!" She yelled and I took a step back from the door. 
                          
"Wait... Hanji, right?" I mumbled after trying to think for a moment myself. 
                          
She nodded happily and smiled a cheesy grin. "Does shorty happen to be around?" She asks, and leans her head into the apartment looking around.
                          
I shake my head. "No, he's in class. And actually I'm really sorry but I have to be going too or I'll be late for bio." I said, trying not to be too rude. 
                          
"Oh, I'm sorry. Well I'll let you go, but can you tell Levi I want to talk to him?" She asked. I nodded my head and she smiled.
