Ava's POV

"Justin!" I shouted after him, still going down the hard marble stairs in my high heels.

Justin was stroding towards the front door, not even bothering to turn around and listen to me. He was furious, he was angry as hell. And I didn't blame him. What Hugo did was unacceptable and even when he did it to his good friend's girlfriend. I wasn't traumatized, no. I couldn't let myself go weak again. I needed to be strong, like I was just a few weeks ago when I got out. If anyone did harm to me I was going to handle it myself. I couldn't have Justin go out and beat up a person just because. I wanted to confront him myself. But at the moment, I was so very shaken up about everything; new home, new city, Justin smoking weed and me getting manhandled.

Before Justin managed to the front door, the door opened and a pregnant lady and a guy suddenly stood there in the doorway.

Both of us stopped in our tracks. I was at the bottom of the stairs while Justin was only a feet away from them.

"Uhh, good morning? What's going on?" the guy asked, slowly closing the heavy front door behind him.

They both looked at us. Their gazes jumping back and forth. I could see Justin still being furious. His back moved at the same time with his fast breathing, in and out.

And then he continued to strode towards the front door even when there was people in front of him.

"I need to go check something..." I heard him mumble before grabbing the door knob.

I had to do something and what I was about to do, I wasn't proud of it. But I was too weak and slow to stop him, because of my heels. If I had my jogging attire on I could run next to his car for hours.

"He's high, do not let him leave!" I quickly blurted out and like I said, I wasn't proud of it.

The unknown guys's hand slammed the almost opened door shut before anyone could leave the house.

"Excuse me?" he needed clarification.

"You heard what Ava said. Justin, to the living room, now." the pregnant women said and surprisingly she knew my name.

Justin looked back at me, furious, that I just ganged up on him with those people.

"Allison, Scooter, you don't understand." Justin fought back.

"We don't have to." the man, Scooter I think, stated and grabbed him by the shoulders, leading him towards the living room.

I sighed from relief even though I just pushed the possible encounter between Justin and Hugo a bit further. All I wanted to do was to take a bubble bath and sleep. I was exhausted.

"You okay?" Allison asked me, putting down her purse on a side table.

I was a little taken aback from that question because I wasn't okay. I was far from okay.

"Yeah, just a bit tired." I shrugged, standing still on the bottom stair.

"I'm sorry we meet this way. I'm Allison, Justin's manager Scooter's assistant." she sighed and came over to me to shake hands.

"Ava." I introduced myself.

"I've heard a lot about you." her lips turned into a small smile, "You're Justin's muse, to put it that way."

That made me smile a little bit. But I also knew Justin wrote music about our hard times. It was... heartbreaking.

Justin's POV

"Justin, what's going on? You smoking weed? I thought you were done for good with that bullshit." Scooter roasted me as I sat there on my large couch, my head low and my elbows on my knees, "I thought we talked about this. If you're addicted to drugs, we need to deal with that and not focus on your music."

"The drugs are not the case, Scooter. I just need you to let me leave the house and breathe." I spoke slowly so that he could hear and understand what I was saying.

"That's not happening." he answered bluntly.

"Oh for fuck's sake." I groaned, throwing my head back.

I wasn't calm. Of course I wasn't. Just 10minutes ago I woke up with the regret of a lifetime and then I learn that one of my best friends had used my girlfriend sexually while I was passed out on the bed. Even the thought of that made me want to run through my glass door straight to Hugo's house.

Ava was finally here and I was an asshole on her eyes once again. I was a complete failure.

"Can I talk to Justin, privately?" a soft voice filled up my depressing living room.

Scooter's eyes shot up towards the entrance, "Yes, of course. I'll be outside."

"Me too." Allison hurried with her 9-month baby bump.

As soon as they were outside next to the pool and the door was closed, Ava came to sit down next to me.

"Justin, let's just- let's forget about it. I know it makes you mad but I just want to start a normal life with an empty sheet and-"

I couldn't listen to her even though I had missed her sweet, sweet voice.

"I'm not gonna do that. Ava, do you understand what happened?" I snapped, looking straight at her.

Somehow she seemed uncertain. Uncertain on how to react and what to do? I wasn't sure.

"Of course I do, I just-"

"No, no you don't. You want me to sweep it under a rug and never act on it ever again. You're not gonna make me forget about your problems and let you handle them alone."

"My problems? Justin, the only problem I'm having right now is missing the loving boyfriend I had before coming here. What are you? You smoke weed, throw parties and settle things with fist fights? You think this is your life now, now that you're a singer? Wake up to reality. It's not the first time one of your friends's have touched me against my will so I'm just going to let it be." she blathered but it made no sense, at all.

"That's just fucked up. You can let it be but I can't." I snapped and stood up from the couch, "Don't come after me."

I said and speed walked towards the front door, this time no one in my way. Ava was calling my name and I knew she was following me but I gladly made it to my car and sped away from my frontyard.
