Amaani's P.O.VAs I walk around the hall, I see that the preparations for the wedding are starting. Invitations are going out to other royals in Kerala, as well as the higher caste people are able to attend.
As well as we are getting the gold passed down from my mother cleaned. This gold has been passed down for generations. Also the decorations are being put up for the next few days which are made of real and fabric flowers.
"My sister is going to get married next week!"
I roll my eyes at my sister, oh Shana.
"Yes Shana, you've said this for the 50th time today."
"Sorry! It's just I'm excited for you!"
I smile and we continue to walk to the grand hall for our dance session. We get changed into our dancing attire and do our usual makeup.
As we walk outside I see Queen Abraham and my mother sitting on chairs next to our standing dance teacher.
Shana speaks, "Since when did mother come here?"
"I don't know. Please don't tell me they are here to see us dance."
"Probably."
We both let out a long and painful sigh and we walk to our dance teacher who says, "You have practiced a lot girls. Well done. Now Queen Abraham and Queen Joseph would wish to see you dance."
We both sadly reply,
"Yes madam."
"Yes madam."
We get into our starting positions and both Queens eyes are on us and the music starts. Me and Shana move our bodies simultaneously and fluidly making sure we kept to the beat our mother was looking at us proudly and her eyes glistened. While, Queen Abraham was clapping to the beat and looking amazed.
The sound of our anklets echoed throughout the hall and I begin to smile as I dance forgetting that I was originally nervous.
All of a sudden I hear a loud yell, "Ma! Are you here, father is calling-"
Standing in the door way is Prince Zacharias Abraham. Why God do you put me in situations like this?
I continue to dance with my sister and I hear him speak with his mother. I feel an intense gaze looking at me and I look back at him and our eyes meet, locking.
The music ends and we finish dancing and I sigh tiredly and slightly flustered by his stare. Can he not just come in out of nowhere?
He leaves with his mother and our teacher and mother congratulate us.
"Well done you both. Very well done. I'm proud of you two. Also, this is our last session together Amaani."
I yelp, "Wait why?"
My dance teacher pats my back and says, "I've been teaching you since you turned 18 years old. Now you've reached an age where you can't just resume your hobbies."
