"Good morning, love," Harry whispered into his girlfriend's ear, making her slowly open her eyes.
"Good morning," Evie replied, looking up at him, a small smile visible on her lips as she sat up.
"I'm sorry I had to wake you up so early," He replied, frowning slightly as he ran a hand through his brownish hair, "but I have to go to the training now. We have an important game against Arsenal coming up tomorrow and I'm pretty sure we can win this time."
Biting her lip, his girlfriend started to nervously scratch the back of her neck, her smile fading.
The two of them had only been dating for a bit over a month and she still hadn't built up the courage to finally tell him that she was an Arsenal fan and that he was basically dating a rival.
"We'll see," She just replied, shrugging her shoulders before getting out of the bed, "Will you come over later?"
"If you want me to," He answered, slowly leaning in to softly place his lips on top of hers.
"Of course," Evie said, giggling a little to cover up the nervousness that started to take over her as she realized that this may be the last chance to tell him before he would see her cheering for his opponents in the stands.

Five hours later, the young woman found herself sitting on the couch in her apartment with her head in her hands.
She still had no idea how to tell him about her favorite team and she was afraid that he would leave her.
All of the friends that she had called couldn't really help either and were mostly just questioning how she was able to keep it from him this long.
The door bell pulled Evie out of her thoughts after thinking about the whole situation for what felt like forever.
"That must be him," She told herself, slowly walking towards the door, while cursing something under her breath.
"Hey, Harry," She greeted him as he immediately wrapped his arms around her and placed a kiss on her cheek.
"I've missed you," He stated, which made her giggle slightly before the two of the walked into the living room to sit down on the couch.
"How was the training session?" She questioned, placing her head on his chest as he wrapped an arm around her waist.
"It was great, the team is in a good state," He answered, proudly smiling down at her, "We're definitely going to beat them tomorrow."
Evie just smiled a little before it became silent for a while, until the footballer spoke up again.
"You're up for a movie?" He asked, making her nod.
"That's a good idea," She said, immediately standing up, "How about I'll choose one while you get another blanket?"
Harry slightly rolled his eyes at the thought of having to watch a romance once again, but the smile still didn't leave his lips.
"Sure," He mumbled, making his way into her bedroom to look for the blanket in her closet.
"Maybe I should let us enjoy the evening and tell him in the morning," She quietly told herself, but right in this moment, Harry stormed back into the living room.
His girlfriend's eyes went wide as she saw what he was holding tightly in his hands; one of her Arsenal jerseys.
"What is this?" He questioned, narrowing his eyebrows, while the anger started to flow through his veins.
"That's my favorite team's jersey," She stated, her voice becoming more quiet with each word.
"I wanted to...," She started, but he cut her off before she could explain anything.
"I don't care," He exclaimed, raising his voice, which made her back away from him, "I'm not gonna date a rival. We're through."
Evie felt tears forming in her eyes as she realized what he had said.
"Please," She whispered, but he just threw the jersey to the ground before leaving her apartment without saying another word.

The next morning, Evie only awoke because someone was repeatedly knocking on her door.
Looking around in confusion, she remembered the events of yesterday and was surprised that she actually feel asleep, although she was crying for the majority of the night.
Sighing, she got out of her bed and walked through the living room towards the door.
"Evie, please open the door," She heard someone pleading and she immediately recognized that the voice belonged to nobody else, but Harry.
"Leave me alone," She replied, opening the door for a short moment to see him standing there in his Tottenham jersey, his bag on the ground beside him.
Taking a look at her watch, Evie noticed that there were only two hours left before the match would start.
She was ready to close the door again without hearing what he wanted to say, but the Englishman easily stopped here.
"Please listen to me for a second," He said, looking directly into her eyes, while softly taking her hand.
"I'm so, so sorry for what I said yesterday," He started, running a hand through his hair, "I was so mad at you that I couldn't even think straight anymore, but this morning I came to realize that I'm the biggest idiot in this universe; you're the best thing that has ever happened to me, Evie, and even if we've only been together for one month, I can say that I love you. I really do and therefore I don't care what you're favorite team is as long as you love me, too."
Evie's eyes went wide after she had listened to his short speach that was followed by some minutes of silence.
"I do," She finally replied, smiling as his eyes started lightening up, "I love you, too."
Without thinking about it twice, he wrapped both of his arms around her before leaning down to place his lips on top of hers.
"But now we need to leave," Harry stated after the two of them broke apart, which made her raise her eyebrows.
"What do you mean?" She questioned, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek.
"You're gonna come to the stadium with me to support...," He started, taking her hand in his, "...whoever you want to, love."
