My eyes shot open and I saw Quil shaking me, rubbing my eyes I gave a small smile to her. "Morning sleeping beauty. I found you passed out on your bed." Quil said holding the blanket close to her face. I apologized softly and stretched.

Standing up I realized I was only in a pair of sweats and no t-shirt, I blushed. Quil averted her eyes quickly but her face was beat red as it always seems to be when she's embarrassed, she took the hood of her hoodie and covered her face. Her face was always red though, across her cheeks and nose along with a nice pair of freckles splattered on the skin also. So when she blushed it turned extremely red.

I grabbed my shirt off the floor and looked at my body. My body was covered in scars and stitches, not pretty at all. I sighed before slipping it on, another reason for me to not take my shirt off.

I never had extraordinarily toned abs as the others, I can't deny that I have abs. I eat healthy, sort of, and workout a lot so it wasn't hard for me to get them around Junior year.

Though now, it's covered in not just scars and lightning strike marks, no, it's covered in ragged stitches up and down my body. Frowning slightly I put it on and looked for my backpack to grab some clothes.

My mind was still jagged from me and Quil's talk from yesterday, since then me and her have been trying to find the nemeton. Something to give us more of a hint on how we can do all this, but so far we haven't found anything.

The nemeton has practically went invisible to us. Papers was everywhere, books also. I thumbed my phone a lot of days, missing Wikipedia and Google.

The abilities of it not in this time line yet had me wondering how much impact you can do around here with even something as simple as a phone. Glancing up I took my IPhone 8 out and showed Derek as I quickly tried to get Google working.

"Is that a phone?" Derek asked shocked. "Yup. New IPhone 8." Derek glanced at his IPhone. "I have the first IPhone..." he said glaring at me. I laughed as Quil covered her mouth laughing herself.

"Whatever. Can you guys just do something fun?" Derek said pouting. I nodded and got up and grabbed my backpack.  "Let's head out downtown to the diner. We can just talk there and hangout." I offered up glancing at the two of them. Quil slowly nodded while Derek smiled.

"Hey Laura?" I knocked on her door and slowly opened up. She looked up at me and glared, her hair was long and her face was young. Her face softened and she waved slightly. "I know I haven't officially introduced myself to you and I'm sorry about that." I said shyly scratching the back of my neck.

"There's so many people in here that I tend to avoid due to it. That's sort of why I set with you and Der at breakfast and dinner, to avoid them. I'm Stiles." I put my hand out and slowly she shook it and smirked. Suddenly a cool feeling spread across my body and suddenly I felt tired almost.

Blinking I set down on her bed and asked her if she wanted to go downtown with us to the diner. "Derek can only give me so much eye rolls before I slam him down with a plate. With my own sarcasm of course."

"And a actual plate."

That comment of mine had earned a laugh from Laura. "Yeah sure. As long as you pay for my dinner, Flash." she said grinning and shoving past me to downstairs.

I shook my head. "Oh the game is on Hale." I said and rushed downstairs.
This overwhelming feeling of happiness I realized came from Laura, she was so pure and kind, good vibes.

Heading out of the house with me and Laura shoving each other's shoulders, Quil and Derek following behind us we piled into Laura's car.

"To the Batcave!" I screamed in shotgun.

"Whatever Batman." Laura said laughing. Quil glanced up at me and smiled. Derek turned and started asking her about sports. Suddenly her face turned ten shades darker with red and she stuttered out words.

"Y-Yes. I play sports also. Crappily, but I play Lacrosse, Basketball, And Soccer. Oh and also I'm on the swim team." Qahla rambles off as
Derek's eyes dropped open as long as his jaw at the sports she liked.

Immediately the only though that went through my head was, I ship it.
And it didn't make me think of home, which slightly scared me.

Laura pulled up to the diner and we all set down at a booth grabbing menus. I glanced and threw it back down already knowing what to order. "What are you ordering?" Laura and Quil asked me at the same time before glancing at each other and giggling.

"A bacon cheeseburger and a side of curly fries. With a large iced coke." I replied normally. It was the usual I bought here.

Laura practically drooled, "I WANT THAT!" she practically yelled grinning. She is soooo Cora's sister. Once I began to laugh at her she froze and death glared me. Gulping I gave a quick grin.

The death glare was intense and made me sort of terrified

The death glare was intense and made me sort of terrified. She looked like Cora when she did it, which made me think maybe they just both looked like their mom. Glancing over at Derek was taking off his jacket and practically showing off to Quil, she glanced at him before averting her eyes back to looking at me. "I'm ready to order." she suddenly said as I laughed and waved over a waitress. She's so awkward. She still slightly glared at me, but licked her lips putting down the menu.

Walking over was a girl no other than....my mother. I choked on my air as I stared, she looked so much younger there. She looked not sick anymore, it was late 2004 the year she would die soon. Exactly one year before the Hale fire, and she looked drop dead gorgeous, even though her hair was sporadically put in a messy bun the way she wore the little white and red dress with a black apron, fit her batter than ever. The converse she wore almost made me walk away because those was the ones She would always wear to appointments, if I remember correctly she just started getting sick, her face was looking more pale than her normal complexion and she had dark circles under her eyes. She was already having nightmares.

But she was a lot more healthier looking than she was when I last saw her. And I was so happy to see her. Biting my lip I let out a shaky breath and put my fingernails in my fist to feel something to keep me grounded.

"Hi, what can I get for you?" she questioned before looking into my eyes and cocking her head.

"Um.." I stuttered out glancing around. I saw my Dad suddenly come inside, a little ecstatic boy at his side. I grabbed a fork and fiddled with it, my hands shaking harder. Nothing was working to calm me down.

"Do I know you from somewhere? You're eyes look so familiar.." She said and hummed. I stuttered and shook my head. She glanced at the boy and my dad and suddenly snapped her fingers and grinned. "They look like my son's eyes."

I stood frozen and looked at her laughing, her laughter was angelic. "His are beautiful. He's around nine currently. He's great, even has some moles like you. Ironic right?" she giggled.

Suddenly she waved to the boy who gave a toothy grin to her and waved in return.

The metal fork I had been fiddling with suddenly gave a sickening noise as she said those words, the metal breaking in half.
