Mabel's POV
I didn't know where Bill took me. he just picked me up and teleported somewhere. I was trying to calm myself down so I could figure out where I was.
"Pinetree! Sixer!"
Dipper? Ford?
"She needs help!" I opened my eyes when Bill set me down on the couch of, The Mystery Shack? Why did he bring me home? I didn't really care though. All I could do was focus on breathing, but I couldn't breathe.
"Mabel! Mabel look at me!" I looked up and saw Dipper.
"D-Dipper!" I couldn't stop panicking or hyperventilating.
"Hey, it's me. You're okay, I promise."
"N-no." I was about to pass out.
"Ford! Go get her medication!" I saw Ford run back into the room.
"Already did." He handed Dipper the orange bottle which he quickly opened. He shook out two white pills and handed them to me, along with a glass of water that Stan had just brought. I only stared at them, shaking.
"Mabel, you need to take these, now." Dipper looked at me pleading and pushed my hand with the pills in it closer to me. I took a shaky breath.
"Okay." I popped the pills in my mouth and took a drink of water. Though I didn't feel immediate relief, I knew it would kick in soon, so I started calming down.
"Is she okay?" Everyone turned to look at Bill, whose presence had been forgotten. He was leaning against the back wall with his arms crossed, but his expression looked almost as panicked as mine.
"Yeah, she should be fine," Dipper responded, suspicious to Bill caring. I was too. he seemed more worried than he used to be.
"Good." He uncrossed his arms and walked over to me and smirked, quickly wiping the worried expression off. "I kind of need her to live." There it was. Dipper and Ford rolled their eyes at the selfish gesture, but I couldn't help but notice the anxious look in his eyes that he couldn't wipe away as easily. "Well, if she's alright then we should get g-"
"Can we please stay," I said almost too quickly to hear, putting my head down and hoping he wounded hurt me.
"What?" I looked up and he raised an eyebrow.
"P-please, just until the medication kicks in. Please." Bill just stared at me and I felt my heart beat speed up.
"I, uh, yeah. Sure. Whatever you want." I let go of a breath I didn't realize I was holding and glanced at Dipper who was smiling. I smiled back at him, though I'm sure the panicked was still prominent on my face.
"Thanks."
"Yeah yeah, just, be ready when I come back to get you." He glared at Ford as a warning, then disappeared. I almost laughed in relief when he was gone. I wasn't expecting him to leave me alone.
"Mabel, are you okay?" I laughed and genuinely smiled for once.
"Yeah, I am now." I jumped up and hugged him. "Thank you Dipper," I said into his chest. He hugged back and rested his chin on my head.
"Of course." After a moment, we let go and I took another shaky breath. "Mabel, are you okay? What's going on?" I nodded then began to explain.
"You heard Bill say he needs me to stay alive,"
"Yeah," Dipper responded. "But for how long." I shook my head.
"He doesn't know. But after he took me away, we made a deal."
"What!" Ford yelled. "Have you not learned your lesson about making deals with him?"
"Did I really have much of a choice?" I retorted.
"It doesn't matter! Bill only makes deals in his favor," Ford nearly shouted at me.
"I don't care!" I was yelling at this point as well. "I need what he is willing to give me!"
"And what is that?"
"He'll cure me!" Ford went silent. Dipper and Stan didn't say anything either. They all just looked at me, shock written on their faces. A single tear slid down my face and I looked past them at the ground. "He said if I stay with him, and give him the power he needs, he won't hurt any of you, and he will cure me."
"Cure you?" Dipper asked. "Like, from your depression and anxiety?"
"Yeah," I said quietly and sat back down on the couch. "He said he would help me and get rid of it."
"But Mabel," Ford walked over and knelt down in front of me. "We could have helped you too."
"How?" I snapped a little too harshly. "By sticking me in a lab for the rest of my life, shoving countless drugs down my throat?"
"Mabel, we-" Dipper started but I cut him off.
"Besides! What were my other options? Say no and have him keep me there by force? At least this way I get something out of it and keep you guys safe." I hugged my legs to my chest and put my head down. "I'm sorry I made the deal, but I didn't have another choice." I heard Ford sigh.
"Mabel, you don't have to be sorry. I just don't want to see you get hurt anymore. And who knows how long Bill will need you for. It could be forever."
"And it could be a year," I responded.
"Mabel, you can't assume-"
"Yes, I can!" I pulled my head up to look at him. "I don't care how long it is, as long as he fixes me," I cried. Ford stared at me, shock written on his face. I thought he was mad at me for snapping again but was surprised when he quickly wrapped his arms around me in a hug.
"Mabel, you're not broken, you don't need to be fixed." I was shocked at his words and choked back a sob. "But I know how you feel, and it's not like I can stop it either since you already made the deal."
"Yeah," I sighed. He let go and stood up.
"Just promise you'll try not to get hurt by him anymore? Promise me you'll be okay." Will I? Is that even a promise I can make? I looked at Dipper who was anxiously waiting for an answer. I need to make them think I'll be okay. I don't want them to worry about me anymore. I took a deep breath
"I promise."
