Mitch got home feeling like he was on Cloud Nine. He sighed happily as he closed the front door and leaned against it. The rest of their date had gone perfectly and it felt so much like a dream that Mitch became even more comfortable around his favorite person ever. Not that he wasn't before, but now Scott was starting to feel like home.

"Mitch, you're back!" Nel's voice pulled him away from his thoughts and into a tight hug. Mitch laughed, patting his mom's back awkwardly as he tried to get out of her grip. "Yeah," he grinned when she finally set him free. "Come sit down, I'll make you some tea. I want to hear everything about your date!"

Nel was so excited for her son and she really hoped everything went well between the two of them. This Scott boy seemed to make Mitch very happy so Scott was good in her books. "How did it go?" She asked as her son sat down at the kitchen table. "Did he like the picnic?"

Mitch beamed, a light blush forming on his cheeks. "It went amazing, really. He loved the picnic! We ate, then took a little swim in the water. And after that, I was a little worried about him seeing my body and thinking it was gross so I got a bit insecure but he was quick to reassure me that I looked great."

Nel got a little worried at the thought of Mitch being insecure but that was definitely not the first time it had happened. She was so glad that Scott was there to comfort Mitch and she made a mental note to thank him the next time they meet.

As Mitch told the rest of the story, his eyes got even brighter and his grin got bigger. "He asked me to be his boyfriend, mom!" Mitch squealed when he was done. "His boyfriend! I said yes, of course, and I'm still not sure that this isn't all a dream!"

Nel smiled at her boy. He looked so in love and she was really excited for him. "I'm so happy for you baby," she smiled, fixing a piece of Mitch's hair. "I can't wait to meet him again, as your boyfriend. He seems like a really great guy and I'm glad that you've found someone like him."
