CHAPTER TWENTY THREE
Sutton was still in the hospital when she woke up. The doctors had treated her wounds as best as possible. She had been drugged numerous times by Alice. She had a burn wound on her back the size of a fist. She had bruises around her neck and wrists from being restrained. She also had a broken arm, three cracked ribs and sprained her ankle from falling down a cliff when she was running away from Alice. They also found the body of Ava Whitlock, she'd been hanged by Alice.
The hanged man. 2:45. Those were clues to how Ava was going to die. Alice wanted them to know that she had it all figured out. Ava had been dead for three days when they found her. Sutton had been kept by Alice for nearly two weeks. The plan for her wasn't making it out alive. Alice was planning to kill her as well. Sutton was just the start of her killing spree. Noah had been incarcerated for aiding in the kidnap of his sister and his girlfriend. He and Dawn was awaiting trail. Alison found out that everybody knew about her rape. Ciara was facing charges for not stopping the rape from happening or calling the police. She also got arrested for planning the whole thing.
Izzy and Eli was waiting to go and see Sutton. They had been so worried about her.
"How you holding up?"
Sutton smiled, "Coping considering current events."
"You look terrible." Eli said, looking at her with despair etched onto her face.
"I wasn't really in the best condition to begin with," she whispered trying not to laugh. Her ribs hurt.
"Alison wanted to come but-"
Sutton shook her head, "No it's okay. My Dad told me that she knew about everything. She knew I knew and said nothing."
"How's your Dad dealing?"
Sutton shrugged, "He is hovering. He really doesn't want to talk about my mother. I think he's broken hearted."
"We went to see Noah." Eli blurted out. Sutton's eyes widened. She didn't expect to be talking about him.
"How was he?"
"Broken. Regretful. He never wanted to hurt you."
"Except he did in the worst way possible."
"He wants to see you," Izzy said, holding onto Sutton's hand. She had bandages wrapped around them from the nails that puncutured her palms.
Eli sighed, "She can barely breathe, Iz. Just calm down."
"I just don't want you to hate him. I don't hate her for what she did to you and Ava."
"You're really a good person, Izzy. I'll think about it." Sutton responded, closing her eyes in attempt to get some rest. Izzy and Eli both left in silence not wanting to bother her anymore. Allan joined her again and sat on the couch inside her room. Sutton soon fell asleep again. The tormenting was finally over. She had ended it.

•There was a certian feeling you got when you've realised that you actually might die. Sutton felt that each day she was being held captive. The doctors had said that she was mostly awake for three days out of the fourteen she was being held captive. She thought she was going to die an when she fell down that cliff, she'd pray for death to come. No one showed up once again except for the cops. She was still Sutton Clarke. She still had a mother who had lied to her and her father for years. Her mother was still dead. And, she was still a liar. Nothing really changed. She had wished for the tormenting to be over but she didn't want to know the things she knew now.
A soft knock came at her door, "Seriously Dad, you were here five minutes ago."
"You're dad let me in," Alison said as pushed open Sutton's bedroom door. Sutton gasped at her new intruder.
"Ali," she whispered, sitting up in her bed. She winced in pain but still wanted to get out of bed.
"I was on strict orders to make sure you're still in bed, so relax." Alison said, sitting down at the foot of her bed.
"I'm so sorry."
Ali started to cry, "I was angry. I wanted you to feel the same betrayal I felt. But then I saw you when they brought you in. You went through hell. I felt so guilty for wishing that upon you."
"It's okay. I probably dese-"
Alison reached for her hands, "No, you didn't deserve it and neither did I. But I went over it in my head. I couldn't have told you either. I guess that's why you cared so much about me."
Sutton shook her head, "I didn't pity you, Ali. I care about you. You're one of my best friends. I'd do anything to protect you."
"And, you did. In your own way, I guess."
Sutton nodded and smiled gratefully at her, "It's finally over, Ali. We can get justice."
Ali wiped at her face, "Are you going to talk to Noah?"
Sutton shook her head again, "I decided not too. I can't bare to face him."
"I went to see Dawn," she whispered.
"And?" Sutton pressed.
"I didn't blame him. He ruined my innocence and he took that away from me but he wasn't going to take my life away from me as well."
"I just don't want to see him, Ali."
She climbed under the covers and laid her head on top of Sutton's shoulder, "Sutton, I didn't forgive him because he wanted me too. I forgave him for me."
Sutton closed her eyes as a tear escaped, "How do I forgive someone who ripped me apart?"
"Forgiveness isn't the hard part, Sut. Letting go is. You need to let go of her. And you need to let go of him. Do it at your own time but you need to heal mentally as well."
"Life sucks."
"I wish we were those girls who didn't have a care in the world."
Sutton sighed, "I used to be like that and it's boring."
They both laughed at each other. Sutton groaned in pain and Alison tried to muffle her laughter. The worst was over. Ava was dead. Noah, Dawn and Ciara were awaiting trials for their own crimes. Gisele Hewitt had two daughters, one was a bastard and the other came from a place called love. The bastard grew up in a terrible home and for Sutton to heal she needed to know who did those horrible things to her half-sister. She needed justice for the same sister she killed in self defence. The same nightmare she couldn't get out of her head. She needed justice for Alice Jane Hewitt. Because Lola Van Der Cape was a fake, vindictive killer with a taste for blood and Alice was a lost sister whom needed to be guided home.
