The kiss is passionate and loving but most of all it's a promise that no matter what, it's us against the world.

I spent the day with Alex in her room and the doctor came to check on her and decided it would be better if she stayed in her own room for now so she has been moved into the room next to mine so she has some space. Alex was adamant that she was moved out of the infirmary into a proper room. 
                          
We spoke about everything except what I really wanted to know but I understand that she needs time. Now that she's on speaking terms again though and has rediscovered her mind she has agreed to talk to the pack. I told her that we have Cade in a cell and at first, just his name made her begin to panic but I was able to reassure her that he was guarded 24/7 and there was no chance of him escaping. 
                          
We spoke about what she wants to happen to him but she says she would like to address the whole pack collectively with her proposal. She said she doesn't care what happens to his accomplice as long as it's something bad but she is leaving me with his fate. So that is what I'm working on right now. 
                          
I'm sitting in my office with Ash and Damien around the large wooden table that I have in the centre of the room. My office is quite simple, there is a large desk where I do most of my work and I also have a larger rounded table in the centre of the room where I can hold small meetings with one or two people. One wall is covered in shelves that hold books and important files and the opposite wall is home to a black leather couch that never gets used. The walls are plain white and the floor is carpeted in an ugly brown colour. 
                          
"Have you found anything Alpha?" Damien asks me. We are currently trying to find anything on this guy who is helping Cade. I'm not crazy about killing, I'll do it if it needs to be done but if I can avoid it I will, but finding any dirt on this guy is proving impossible. We don't know his name and neither of them will tell us so we are left with absolutely nothing to go off except his appearance. I'm currently looking through wanted lists for criminals in our area but I'm having absolutely no luck. 
                          
"No." I say letting out a loud sigh and running my fingers through my hair, "I can't find anything about him anywh-"
                          
"I've got it," Ash exclaims. I suddenly sit up straighter and listen to what he has to say, "He's definitely a criminal you guys. He's wanted for murder, carjacking, robbery and a list of other things. He's definitely going to jail." Ash turns the computer around for us to look at. 
                          
Carl Donovan, convicted criminal on the loose. All his crimes together should give him at least three life sentences which is fine by me. By the time he gets out, if he does, he will be old and fragile and incapable of harm. I breathe a sigh of relief, we don't have to kill him today. 
                          
"Ok so we hand him over to the police then and they can deal with him." Everyone nods in agreement. 
                          
"Now we just need to figure out what to do with Cade," Damien says looking down in concentration. 
                          
I reply quickly, "I've left Alex to decide." 
                          
Damien winces at my response, "Are you sure that's a good idea Alpha, she still seems unstable." 
                          
I sighed rubbing my forehead, "I want her to feel safe so it's her choice what happens to him." 
                          
"Alright Alpha, I trust that Alex will make the right decision." He replies. 
                          
"We are going to do the announcement in an hour in the yard, can you please spread the word," I explain to the both of them. They both nod and hurry out of the room to round the pack up for a pack meeting. 
                          
This should be interesting.

I walk out the back doors of the pack house to see a crowd of people, old and young staring back at me. The conversation ceases as soon as I appear and everyone's eyes are on me. I can see all the young children gathered at the front playing quietly amongst each other, Emily among them. 
                          
I cap my hands indicating that I am about to begin. Everyone waits patiently for me to address them. 
                          
"As you all know, a few weeks ago your Luna was found. Her captor was also found and he is being kept here for the time being while we figure out what to do with him as well as his accomplice. We have decided the punishment of Cade's friend but I have left the life of Cade in the hands of Alex at this point. Your Luna will be telling you today what she wishes to be done with Cade and that will be the final decision on this matter. She needs to feel safe here and I'll do whatever it takes." 
                          
I see a few nods around the group as well as some whispers to the surrounding members. No one has seen Alex since her return so there is no doubt they are curious about her. 
                          
I turn around and walk back inside to get Alex. 
                          
"You ready?" I ask her, looking at her face for any signs of panic or worry. Her face is stone cold, clear of any emotion. 
                          
She nods in response and I nod back before we turn around and exit into the backyard. As soon as Alex appears in the open conversation erupts in the pack and I hear exclamations of joy and shock. I see people clapping and smiling at the fact that their Luna is ok. I smile at their happiness before coughing loudly to signal that we are about to talk.
                          
Everyone silences in front of me, "Your Luna would like to speak to you now." 
                          
Alex steps forward to address the group standing in front of her, "I'm sure you already know where I have been in the last few months and I'm here today to address you about that situation." She pauses to glance at the many faces, "You are all probably wondering if this is permanent if I am here for good and the answer is yes. I am here to stay as your Luna." A few smiles can be seen in the crowd and a squeal from a little girl can be heard from the front row which makes Alex chuckle. 
                          
"I've been told that I can choose the punishment for my captor, Cade, and it hasn't taken me a lot of effort to decide what I would like done to him. The things he did to me were terrible and I never wish that on anyone, ever. I hope that you can accept my decision for his punishment as this is what will allow me to forget about this situation. My punishment is simple." Alex's face remains stone cold when she says the next line, "We kill him."
