Leaving.

                                    

                                          
"S-so you're saying, that you care about me?" I say in response.
                          
"I never said that I cared, I simply meant that I find your self pity annoying."
                          
Ugh, I should have known! He opens up just a little bit Only to shut me out yet again. I can tell that he cares to some degree, he has to. He's just hiding it out of pride, that's it. I really wanna know how it would feel if I just left and never came back. I bet he would be miserable. 

                          
Three days have passed without us talking, at all. It's frustrating, but nice at the same time. I've been contemplating wether I should leave or not, seeing as I don't really know where we are. But I think I have to, I'll go back to the village and talk to mother, I'll tell her that Sesshomaru is a lost cause. The sun is setting and I don't want Rin to see me when I leave, her reaction would break my heart.
                          
Once the night falls and Rin is sleeping, I leave. I put the hairpin that Sue gave me and put it in Rin's hair. On my way out of the camp I look to see Sesshomaru's pale face lit up by the fire, I slowly walk over to him. I kiss my two fingers and place them lightly on his forehead,
                          
"Thanks for nothing..." I whisper. And with that I left.
                          
The Sun is rising and my heart is still sinking. Rin is now all alone, or so it feels like. I can't seem to trust my gut. I know for a fact that Sesshomaru loves Rin deeply, but it's hard to fully believe. A small peice of me is missing, Rin was such a sweet girl and now I won't be able to wake up to her and Jaken arguing, or her laughing. But Sesshomaru is gone too. How do I feel about that? I feel good, but with a heavy heart. I don't know why though, he's such an jerk, but a handsome one at that. I don't know, I really don't. Mother said that he would help me, but all he's done is completely jumbled my brain. I'm so confused because I keep trying to figure everything out, only to be greeted by dead ends. He's a mystery that I will never solve, and it drives me crazy.
                          
On my way back to my village, I see a small village and decide to stop and ask for directions seeing as I'm in the middle of nowhere. I pass through the village only to find that no one is here. The place looks abandoned. 

                          
I hear a woman screaming for help in a small shop. I run as fast as I can trying to find her. Once I narrowed don to where she was I see a demon walking out of the shop. I draw my swords readying myself for a fight when I realize that the screaming was coming from the demon. It was a trap! Damn. I lunge at the demon, but before I start to move I get struck in the back by another demon and fall to the ground. I try to get up but the demon hit me in the back with a club, causing blood to spew out of my mouth. The demon slams his foot on my back assuring that I would stay down. Quicker than lightning they dropped dead. An all too familiar white mane was all I could focus on. I slowly dragged myself to sit against the nearest wall. I grasp my side in pain and let out a small grunt as my back hit the wall. Sesshomaru had saved me. 

                          
"H-how did you find-" I began to say only to be cut off by the expression I saw on his face when he quickly turned around.
                          
The look on his face left me speechless, his eyes were wide, his jaw was clenched, his eyebrows were pulled downwards and together. He was angry, no he was furious.
                          
"Why did you leave!? Were you taken!? or did you just abandon us!?" He says.
                          
"I-" My efforts to get a word in proved fruitless.
                          
"You've wasted my time, I never should have come." He says his voice going back to the normal, calm and slightly annoyed, tone.
                          
"I left! I left..." I say yelling, then shamefully repeating my self.
                          
"I know" he says in slight disappointment as he turns away.

                          
"Sesshomaru I-" I tried to say that I'm sorry for leaving, even though I don't know why he cares. But as soon as I open my mouth he begins to walk away.
                          
"Sesshomaru! Wait!" I try my best to chase after him but can't seem to gather my strength. I got about ten feet before collapsing and blacking out. The last thing I remember seeing was his eyes as he turned his head to me.
