(Skuyler)
I hate bowling. I hate bowling so much and I suck so terribly it's not even funny. We've been here for... forever already and I seriously haven't hit one pin and I really don't know how that's possible unless the game is totally rigged against me. I really hope it doesn't seem like I'm not trying, I'm just pissed and bad at any sport-like thing except, like, running. I guess I'm also hurt, though, so if any of them ask why I'm so bad I'll use that as my excuse. This was hurting my shoulder like hell, but I wasn't going to give up and quit.
Jayy was doing fine, and Amber was killing us all. She must be on like a professional bowling team or something. Or superhuman. There is no way a regular person could be this good at fucking bowling.
At least Dahvie is pretty bad too. I mean, he can actually hit stuff, but it still makes me feel better. It was his turn right now, and then the game was over. Obviously, Amber won. She had like six billion points because she got a strike every time she went and was basically the most talented person on the planet. Jayy got second and Dahvie got third and I obviously got last.
"Want to play again? Or are we done?" Jayy asked the rest of us after Dahvie instagrammed a picture of the scoreboard.
"I don't think any of us can beat Ms. Fantastic over there." I nodded my head at Amber and she rolled her eyes. I already felt like I've known her my whole life.
"Not to brag..." she said, "but he's right."
Dahvie hugged her from behind and kissed her ear and I had to fight the urge to go "Awwwwwww!" and ruin the moment. They were so adorable.
"Food?" Dahvie let go of her and asked us all. "Are we staying here or going somewhere else?"
"Let's just stay here. It's easier."
We made sure we had all our stuff and went to the shoe-returning area to get our actual shoes back. I was so desperate to get my Converse back on. These damn bowling shoes were like the least-fun things on the planet. I almost envied the little kids who got enjoyment out of them.
I had to get Jayy to help me untie the shoes, which he had tied in the first place. And then we followed Amber and Dahvie. They were heading over to the 'Food & Bar' area of the place. I texted Dahvie: do u guys want to sit by urselves?
I saw him look at his phone but it didn't seem like he was gonna text me back. just wonderinggggg
"Nah." He called over his shoulder.
I put my phone in my back pocket and took Jayy's hand because I could now. He laced his fingers in between mine and smiled at me. "What'd you ask him?" He said to me quietly.
"If they wanted to sit by themselves." I told him.
He nodded and we kept following behind them until they finally picked a fucking table so we could sit down. A woman in all black came over and asked if any of us wanted something from the bar.
(Jayy)
Dahvie obviously said yes to the girl who was asking if we wanted stuff from the bar, and Amber and I nodded. "I'll have to see IDs from all of you before you order."
I got my wallet out of my pocket and showed her my driver's license, and Dahvie and Amber did the same. When she looked at Skuy for his, he just shook his head and smiled at her. I expected that because I knew he only rarely drank anything, and when he did it was at our house. I mean, his license says he's twenty-two because it got messed up the last time he renewed it, but he never used it to do things he shouldn't. He was responsible like that.
