Scarlet waved the little rattle in front of Blue who smiled up at it and cooed. She followed the object with her eyes, looking ever so slightly cross eyed, and moved her head to the side when it went to far for her eyes to follow.
"Don't do that too much." Shawn instructed Scarlet, "Her neck is still too week to hold her head up but she keeps trying and I'm afraid she might hurt herself." Scarlet rolled her eyes thinking about Blue's healing abilities, and put the rattle down picking the now one month old Blue up into her arms and rocking her back and forth smiling down close to her face.
"Let the girl be." Scarlet said as she walked up to Shawn and slapped him in the back of the head. "If she wants to move her head let her, she's developing-it's what babies do. She's already far more mentally developed than she should be, let her body catch up." Scarlet bounced the baby gently and then placed her down on the couch sitting down with her while Shawn cleaned up the kitchen.
"I still don't want her to get hurt." He insisted. "Beyoncé sings to her a lot to get her hearing and responses up, try that." Scarlet immediately scoffed and shook her head.
"I don't sing." She said with a foul face causing Shawn to laugh. "Tina used to hold Beyoncé in front of a mirror and pull funny faces, you should try that." Scarlet picked Blue up again and walked her over to Shawn who quickly wiped his hands and took the baby. He looked down at Blue who smiled quickly when she was placed in his arms. "Looks like we've got a little bit of a daddy's girl." Scarlet laughed.
"Oh no not at all." Shawn defended, "She's just happy to see me but she's a mommy's girl through and through. She won't look at me like this when Bey's around, all she wants is her mommy. It's cute because mommy can't keep her hands of her so I have to give the two of them time apart of they'll both end up like spoiled brats won't you" He said in a baby voice looking down at Blue.
"No matter how far apart they are they're always communicating." Scarlet reminded him as she held on to Blue's hand. "I went shopping with Bey last week and she was telling me what Blue was doing at home at that very second, telling me how Blue was feeling and what you were talking to her about. I don't know how Blue's ever going to be able to hide anything from her." They both shrugged and then Scarlet finally asked, "Where is the little witch anyway?"
"She's with Kelly and Michelle, they're shopping." Shawn told her.
Beyoncé walked through the mall with Kelly and Michelle either side of her talking about something they had seen on TV the day before when she paused and saw Marley sitting at one of the tables in the food court with a young woman. Kelly and Michelle continued to walk until they noticed she had stopped so they looked back at her and laughed,
"Sash!" Kelly called, "Are you alright?" Kelly walked over to her and then let her eyes drift to what Beyoncé was looking at and saw Marley sitting with the girl. "Oh that's Ava, is that Nicki?" Kelly looked over at Michelle who gasped and nodded her head fast,
"That is Nicki!" Michelle said in surprise, "Sasha, you didn't tell us your sister knew Nicki." Michelle quickly made her way over to Bey and looked at her with a serious expression. "Sash, that girl is nothing but trouble." Michelle told her. "Got kicked out of our school and the one before that."
"She slept with all the guys in school and when she ran out of guys she moved on to girls." Kelly shook her head and looked at Marley and Nicki laughing together. "Maybe she's changed but she was bad news, stole a bunch of shit and always had her nose in people's business. There was this one time that her girlfriend was having a bit of trouble at home and didn't want to talk about it but Nicki sure as hell was persistent, she wouldn't let it go until she found out and when she did she told everyone. She's a gossip." Beyoncé gasped and looked at them with wide eyes,
