Maddie's POV I wake up to the sound of my alarm. I got up and put on this.

I walked into the bathroom and I put on natural eyeshadow, and a natural lip stick. That was it for my face. As for my hair I put it up in a messy bun. I liked how I looked. I walked downstairs and I saw everyone eating. "Goodmorning!" I said twirling. "Woah take it easy you know what the doctor said." Paul told me. "Yes I know but I'm just so exited." "Why?" Harvey asked. "Because! NATIONALS ARE TONIGHT!!" I said. "Oh ya." Max said. "Well I've got to go! Bye!" I said. I think that's the first time I've ever been happy while at the Mills' house. As I started to walk to school someone came up behind me and graves my by my waist. "What the hell! Who are you?!" I asked. Then I turned around and saw Mark. "Haha you should've seen you're face!" He laughed. "Hahaha it was so funny," I said sarcastically. "Now let's walk to school." He said. We walked to school hand in hand again. I seriously love this boy to death. We got to the doors and I kissed his check and we said our goodbyes. I walked to math class and I was actually exited for school today. "Hey Zach!" I said very cheerful. "Wow! What's got you all happy?" He asked. "Nationals. They're today!" I said squealing. After about 5 minutes into class the principal started to speak over the intercom. "Will the dance team please head to the great lawn please. You are going to spend your day practicing for nationals. That's all thank you." He said. Yes! "If anyone here is in dance you are excused." The teacher said. I stood up and packed my bags. "Bye!" I said. I walked to the great lawn and I was the first one there. After about 3 minutes the whole team was here. Except for Espy. "Ok where is Espy?" I asked. "I don't know she hasn't been here all day. Didn't you talk to her last night?" James asked. "Oh you see I was going to until I was shot in my way home. But I'm ok I can dance I feel alive!" I said. "O-K." They all said confused. I wasn't going to explain. "Ok let's get into formation." I said. We all got into our spots and practiced the group dance. As the day went by people would stop and watch for a little. It was lunch time but no one wanted to stop.
Holly's POV "Hey Max! Harvey!" I yelled. "What's up Holly?" They asked. "Wanna have lunch with Kimberley, Emily, Tom, Dobby, Ethan, and me?" I asked. "Um sure where are we eating?" Harvey asked. "Oh that's a surprise just let me lead you there." I said. Then we started walking. Little did they know that we all were planning to get them to watch Maddie and the dance team practice.
Max's POV I have no idea where I'm going and I don't like it. "Are we almost there?" I asked complaining. "We're here." Holly said. We took the blindfolds off and we were at the great lawn. Why? "Um why are we here?" I asked. Then I saw Kim and everyone else come over to us. "Hey guys!" Harvey chirped. "Hi!" They all answers back. "Well let's go sit." Tom said. We walked over to the bleachers, and sat down. After a little we heard music. Oh no. "You evil people! I screamed. "We don't want to watch the dance team!" Harvey said. As we stood up they started dancing. "Oh come on two dances." Emily said. "Fine." I said defeated. We watched them dance there were only three people dancing right now. Ah the trio. I noticed that Maddie was in it. She's a really good dancer. Then the group came out. We watched and Maddie was the lead. Wow she's good! "Well we watched two dances we're done! Bye!" Harvey said. We stood up and walked away.
Maddie's POV "Ok that's good for today!" I said. "Go home and rest." They all did as I said. I went home and I called espy.
~~~~~~~On call E-espy M-mads
M-hey! E-oh hey M- what's wrong I could hear the sadness in her voice. E- I went home after school yesterday to get clothes for dance. I found my brother dead. He killed himself. M- oh my god I'm so sorry! E-and my parents are getting worse all I hear is fighting I can't t- that's when I heard glass break M-are you ok?! E- no it's too much of can't do this anymore I don't want to live. M-no you will make it through this! E- I have to go I'll call you later M-ok End of call~~~~~~~~ Oh god I hope she's ok! Poor girl. I need to call Jen.

M-hey you need to call espy! Quick! Yesterday she came home to find her brother dead cause of suicide. Now her partners are worse! J- ok calm down. I'll call her right now. M-ok ~~~~~~~end of call I looked up and the twins were standing there. "Omg ever heard of knocking!" I yelled. "Is Esperanza ok?" Max asked. "I-I don't know." I said with tears brimming. "How much of the calls did you hear?" I asked. "All of it." Harvey replied. Right as he said that Jen called me

She's gone she's really gone! I started to think of her. ~~~~~~~~Flashback~~~~~~~~~ "Hi! I'm Esperanza, but you can call me Espy!" A little girl said to me. She was so happy. "Hi I'm Maddie, but you can call me Mads!" I said. "I love that name! I want sh I had that name." "Oh thanks I don't really like the name Maddie but I got stuck with it." "Wanna play with me!" "Sure!" After that we ran to the monkey bars and we played our hearts out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Hurry up Mads. We're going to be late for tryouts!" "Ok hold on." I said finishing up. Espy convinced me to try out for a dance team. I came out of the bathroom. "Are you ready Espy?" "Yup let's go!" She screamed pulling me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Are you going to tryout for captain of the varsity dance team?" I asked. "No, no one is." "Why?" "Because you're trying out. No one can beat you!" Espy said. "That's so not true." "Well you're the only one trying out so." "Oh god." "Ha!" "That means I'm the captain." I said. We were currently walking to the gym for "tryouts". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Oh come on you look amazing!" Espy said. "I don't like makeup." It was the first day of high school, and she wanted to put makeup on me. "So you look AWSOME!" "Fine let's go." We walked to school. When we got there people were staring. "See people think you look amazing they can't stop looking at you." "Or they think I look ugly." "Oh shut up." ~~~~~~end of flashbacks~~~~~ I looked up and I saw that the twins were looking at me with worry in their eyes. "I-I'm fine." I said standing up. "Maddie you're not fine!" Max said. "I need to get ready for nationals." I walked to the bathroom and I put my hair up it a braided bun, with a few strand of hair pulled out. I put a white hair clip in, with small, white flowers. I put on eyeshadow as a smokey eye. The colors I used were black, white, grey, and silver. I walked out and grabbed my bag. "I have to go. If you want you can come to the show just not with me." I said walking out.
