When everyone else can see
That you really need
Some new friends
It's time to get themBut is that as easy as it sounds?
Is it easy to leave
The only people that
You thought you cared about?No
I can guarantee that
It's notYou are letting go of someone
You've invested time
Love
Effort
And care in
You're just walking away from them
And in the moments thereafter
Yeah
Sure
It'll hurt
A lot probably
Like a lot
But later on down the line
When you remember those old friends
You'll really see
that everything happens
For a reasonAnd
if you and one
or all
of those friends are meant to stay together
It will happen that wayIf those people
Are causing you more harm
Than good
Are making you more sad
Than happy
More alone
Than loved
More isolated
Than surrounded by them
Then they are not your friends
They are toxic
Leave themI say this like it's simple
But it's not
Not at all
I've been trying to figure it out
But it's never simple
Because you'll always
Always
Wonder if it's just in your head
And when you do have those rare good times with them
It will make you second guess your conclusion
But
Trust me
Those good experiences
Should not be rare
Or once in a lifetime
Those invites to hang out
Should not feel obligatory
Or terrifying
From either end
They shouldn't be lying to you all the time
Or making things up
They shouldn't be avoiding hanging out with you
Or seeing you
Or spending time with youYou can always give someone a second chance
But any more than that
Should never be grantedI get that people make mistakes and whatever
But you cannot
Let those people keep being a part
Of your lifeThey are toxic
Let them go-Cat
