Chapter 10: Win her heart!

                                    

                                          
"Huh... Where is everybody...?" (Y/n) questioned. They roamed around the town. The once lively crowded streets that were present earlier were now gone. "You sure you aren't just going crazy?" Naruto asked as he looked at the masked Genin. "I did catch her talking to herself one night..." Sasuke added. (Y/n) instantly heated up in embarrassment. Kakashi leaned over to the girl. "Were you talking with him?' he whispered into her ear. "Of course... I'm not crazy..." she retorted. As they walked around, they saw odd decorations. Not odd in the way that they looked abnormal but in the way to question why were they up. Was there an upcoming festival? Did they just have a party? "The boxes should be in that shop... Wait out here," (Y/n) spoke as she walked through the doorway closing the door behind her. "I knew I wasn't crazy...." she mumbled to herself as she looked at the mountain of gifts. "Psst. Hey! Over here!" A hushed voice said in a back room. She walked over in the direction of the voice and saw familiar chestnut hair. "...Aya-?" before she could finish, a hand covered her mouth and she was pulled into the room as the door closed behind her.
                          
"What's taking her so long?" Sakura asked looking around. "Huh?" Her attention was captured by people who began to flood the streets. A certain small girl ran out of the crowd holding a stack of neatly folded clothes. The four watched as the girl made her way to them. "Are you Nee-sama's friends?" the girl asked with a smile. "Nee-sama?" Kakashi questioned. "Yup! (Y/n)-sama!" she cheerfully said. "Yeah...?" the Jonin responded confused. "Okie! Take these and get ready!" the small girl said as she handed clothes to each one of the squad members. "Hurry up! Mommy wants everything to be perfect!" The girl said as she pushed them into a shop so they could change.
                          
"Aaaand... Done!" "What did you just do to me?..." "Oh come on you look pretty, sis!" "Sis?" Yep! You're like a little sister to me!" "Alright, but what is this all for?" "Oh stop being so nosy!" "IT'S NOT BEING NOSY IF IT INVOLVES ME." "Aaah, just wait, sis." "Wait for whhhaaaaat?" "WAIT"
                          
"There's so much food! Where did they get all of this?!" Sakura asked as she looked at all the food being given out. "(Y/n) gave them all bags of food when we first got here," Naruto spoke up. "Wooow! She had so much food with her!" Sakura's eyes glimmered in amazement. "Alright! It's time for the main event of the evening!" A stage had been built in a clearing of the field, it attracted all kinds of attention. The villagers, along with Squad 7, had gathered near the stage. A woman with short blonde hair and hazel eyes stood at the center of the stage. She wore a long red kimono. "She cared for us like one else has. We were merely strangers to her but she still treated us with kindness and respect. She even protected our little ones when no one else would!" The lady started going off about the great things this special woman had done for them. "She sounds like a great person!" Sakura's eyes sparkled at the thought. "Here she is. The lady of the night!"
                          
"Hurry up! Or we won't make it in time!" "Why are you doing all of this?!" "Oh hush already and walk faster. You're almost up!" "Almost up?..." "Come on!"
                          
All of the villagers seemed to know who the lady was, but Squad 7 stood in confusion. "Miss Hatake (Y/n)!" the cheerful lady said with a large smile as (Y/n) walked up to the stage with Ayako pulling her hand. She wore a short white kimono decorated with red flowers and hemming with golden designs as it stopped above her knees. Her sleeves hung off her shoulders as they flared down to her hands. Her (h/c) hair had been pinned up by lavender flower pins as she wore a dark red lipstick. The entire audience began to cheer as she walked out. (Y/n) stood there wide-eyed and surprised, and so did her squad. She looked at the very back of the crowd and saw the four standing there, also wide eyed.
                          
'Someone... Please help me...'
                          
Ayako stood next to the scared Genin. "Oh ease up, this entire festival is for you!" she whispered into her ear. "I feel uncomfortable. Can I have my mask back...?" (Y/n) tried to hide behind the green eyed woman. "We have a special contest for you all!" The blonde from earlier spoke up. "One lucky man will get to be the date of our Lady of Honor for the entire festival!" smiles and smirks of confidence appeared on the faces of all men. Kakashi and Naruto quickly got into protective mode as they tried to make their way to the front of the crowd. An unpleasant scowl appeared on the Uchiha's face as Sakura smiled. "Oh she'll look adorable on a date with one of the villagers!" she said as pink dusted her cheeks at the thought. "We will have a test of strength, courage, and wisdom!" the blonde shouted. "Any man who wishes to participate raise up your hand!" Immediately, many hands were held up high in the air. "Wow, so many people want that date!" Sakura squealed as she looked around. Sasuke had no other choice. His hand slowly lifted up as a smirk appeared on his face. "Huh? Sasuke? What are you-" The pinkette turned to Sasuke. 'I'm not losing.' he thought as he furrowed his eyebrows. 'Huh! Sasuke's coming to the rescue!' 'How are you fine with all of this?' 'I'm not! I'm not a prize to be won!' 'Well, that Uchiha brat seems to think so.' 'No he doesn't! He just wants to help me out of this situation!' 'Well you better hope he wins' 'Of course he'll win! He's Sasuke Uchiha after all!'
