Prince Nicholas could barely stand. The witches curse was attacking him quickly. He hated the idea of sending Cassandra into the nation alone but he didn't have much of a choice. Without the heart he would die and then who would lead his people?
Cassandra came stumbling out of the barrier between the Eastern and Middle nations. "Here is the heart." She said falling into his arms. Nicholas barely caught his love before toppling himself.
"I'll take that." Princess Olympia said reaching down and grabbing the heart.
Nicholas didn't pay any attention to her. He worried more about the knife pointing out of Cassandra's back. "You killed her?" He questioned. "You killed my love?"
"And you killed mine!" Olympia said. "That doesn't even begin to make us even!"
"No, it doesn't." Prince Nicholas said. "I didn't know your dragon was good. I killed him because I needed his heart for my potion. Because of the witch's curse!"
"What witch's curse?" Olympia asked.
"The one that is killing me." Nicholas said. "Surely you have noticed me passing out all over the place."
"I thought you were a pretty boy prince that couldn't handle real adventure." Olympia shrugged.
"I needed the heart to save my life and I thought I was doing you a favor, princess." Nicholas said. "You on the other hand, stabbed my love in the back because she was trying to protect me."
"It doesn't matter why you killed my love." Olympia cried. "The result is still the same. He's dead and she shouldn't have tried to take the last piece I had of him away from me."
"She tried to steal the heart because she knew you wouldn't give it freely. Not to save my life."
"She was right." Olympia said. "I hope the witches curse kills you right before my eyes."
"It looks like you'll get your wish princess." The prince said looking at the angry witch who stood behind the princess.
