Chapter 15

                                    

                                          
~Alicia's POV~
                          
I was terrified I needed to find him. 
                          
I looked into my father's mind and saw him heading towards the docks. 
                          
I ran all the way not wanting to waste any time. 
                          
I got there just as the Dark Lord was saying "you have been a good and faithful servant Severus. But only I can live forever."
                          
I ran inside yelling "NO!" as I stood in front of my father to protect him.
                          
"I was hoping I would see you Alicia. I can't say I am pleased."
                          
"Please don't do this. H-he is all I have left. Please. I'll do anything. I'll give you my power. I'll be loyal. Just please don't kill him." I said as the tears poured down my face. 
                          
He thought for a moment and a sickly smile stretched on his face. 
                          
"You have a deal." He said out stretching his arm. 
                          
I smiled and grabbed his hand. 
                          
What I wasn't expecting was him to pull me to him and point his wand at me laughing. 
                          
I squirmed trying to get away and I gave up not seeing any hope. 
                          
"Did you truly think I would take your deal after all you have done? Not a chance Alicia. You should have been a good girl and listen to me."
                          
Tears fell down my face as I stared at my father. 
                          
"I'm so sorry." I said to him. 
                          
"Don't be Alicia. You did well. I love you." 
                          
"And I love you." I whispered.
                          
"How touching." The Dark Lord said before slashing his wand lazily. 
                          
All of a sudden a bloody gash came up and he fell to the ground. 
                          
"NO!" I yelled as tears fell down my face trying to get away. 
                          
"Nagini. Kill."
                          
The snake attacked and I couldn't move anymore. 
                          
I felt numb. I felt hopeless. 
                          
I was thrown to the ground and I crawled to him crying in his chest as I heard the sound of disapparation. 
                          
I felt a shaky hand fall on my hair and I looked up to my father. 
                          
"Please don't go. I need you." I said sobbing. 
                          
"You have done beautifully Alicia. You have been claimed. It is time for you to live your life now."
                          
"I'm not ready." I said shaking my head.
                          
"You have been for a while now. I just needed to learn to let go."
                          
 I heard footsteps to see Harry Ron and Hermione.
                          
Harry held his hand on his wound and one tear fell from both of my father's eyes. 
                          
"Take them. Take them. Please."
                          
Realization hit Harry and he said "give me two flasks or something. Anything."
                          
He held each flask in each hand and put them underneath each tear and they slid down with ease. 
                          
"The one....on the left...is hers. The other.....is yours. Take care of her. Look at me."
                          
Harry looked at him and he said "you have your mother's eyes." 
                          
Tears stung my eyes again and Harry gave me a flask. 
                          
I grabbed it held it shut. 
                          
"Alicia. Look at me please." I heard my father whisper.
                          
I looked up and he said "I love you. Always."
                          
I let the tears escape as I knew this was it for him. 
                          
I couldn't save him. The venom was too strong. 
                          
"And I love you too." I whispered back. 
                          
He sighed and turned his head again but stayed there.
                          
My bottom lip wobbled and I felt a pair of arms surround me.
                          
"Come on. We need to go." 
                          
"No!" I said moving away. 
                          
"Harry. Let her grieve. It's her father." I heard Hermione say.
                          
He must have listened because I heard him walk out. 
                          
A book was placed down by me and I looked at it to see a healing spell. 
                          
"It never hurts to try." I heard Hermione say. 
                          
I grabbed my father's wrist and felt for a pulse. 
                          
There was none. 

                          
"It's too late. There is no pulse."
                          
 She sighed and said. "I'm so sorry Alicia. I know he was all you had." 
                          
She walked out and I sat there. Not moving. Not wanting to breathe. Not wanting anything. 
                          
I looked to the book and read. 
                          
Maybe she was right. 
                          
I put my hand on his wound and followed what the book said. 
                          
After I finished I wrapped his wound up and looked at him. 
                          
Nothing. He was gone. 
                          
I sighed and picked up the flask and kissed his cheek and gave him a hug. 
                          
"I love you." I said and I walked out back to Hogwarts up to Dumbledore's office.
