He smiled after I told him yes, before pressing his lips to mine softly.

The feeling was incredible. A jolt of something coursed through my entire body, making me press my body against his, deepening the kiss. I knew that I wasn't going to be the first to pull away, and I didn't want him to be, either.

His arms wrapped around my waist as my hands went around his neck, my hands tangling in his hair.

When he finally pulled away, we both smiled.

"That was long overdue." He chuckled.

"Agreed." I pulled his lips back to mine, desperate to feel them again.

It was strange. His lips had been on my body before. On my neck, my throat, my chest, collarbone, and jawline. But this was different. Those were always before or while we were fucking.

After I pulled away again, he looked into my eyes. His were sparkling, and I'm sure mine reflected the look of joy that his held. Kissing Liam felt right. We had gotten close a couple times before, but it hasn't actually happened. And when it did, I wished it would have sooner.

"Wow." I breathed.

"Yeah." He agreed, and we sat on the couch. He ordered pizza, and put in Bruce Almighty.

I curled up against his chest as he wrapped an arm around me, kissing my head gently as the previews began. I couldn't stop thinking about the kiss.

After a few minutes, he looked at me and kissed me again, his hands holding my face gently as I hungrily kissed him back.

When he pulled away, I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled his face back down to mine, connecting our lips again before curling my hands, resting them on his chest. His hands wrapped around me, pulling our bodies closer. That's the moment I decided this was right- as the electricity rushed through me, feeling like fire. Not a painful, burning fire, like the kind that had been possessing my body for the past few weeks. Not the uncontrollable kind that threatens to burn away everything you own and love, destroying your home and the neighboring houses, turning the whole street to ash. No, it wasn't painful at all. It was more like a sweet fire, like when you come in from an exceptionally cold day and a fire in the fireplace welcomes you. The feeling of thawing out your frozen, numb hands over the fire. That's the kind of fire that coursed through my body as Liam kissed me.

When the pizza arrived, Liam got it and set it on the coffee table in front of us.

"I know you like cheese, so I got cheese and pepperoni." He told me. I beamed and thanked him, taking a piece.

He sat next to me and we talked about things, forgetting about the movie. I passed Bruno little bits of crust as we ate, and the dog gratefully accepted them.

The only regret I had was not choosing Liam sooner.
