Matt darted pass bushes and trees keeping his eyes out for any sight of brown or green,.
It was pretty hard since that was what the forest was all about.
He started to drift out into his thoughts.
What if edd thought about it... What if he actually did it?
No... He wouldn't just risk everything and kill himself like that.. Would he?
His question was answered when he spotted his friend poking something at a near by pond.
He sighed of relief and turned back to his human form and walked up to him. With no word he sat beside him quietly legs folded.
His antlers already gave up his identity.
"Hey edd"
"Hey matt"
To the gingers suprise he didn't sound as upset he'd thought he'd be.
"Youuuuuu... OK?"
A slight nod. That might be a good sign.
"Sorry you had to see all that... I've never seen Tom become so.. Violent... Before-"
"It's alright... I'm just in their way. It's probably me which made them fight. " he grunted.
Now he did seem upset.
"Alright here edd I know your depressed and all but this wasn't your fault! None of it was... They just had bad history together. "
"And I'm probably a torn in their side. Nothing but a fucking mistake" he grumbled but soon he felt a hand on his shoulder.
It felt warm.
"Woah take it easy on the drama. I know you wanted to get into acting but boy this is really top of the line. Your fine trust me. And when the hell did you start swearing hmm?" matt knew he sounded like a God damn dad right now.
Edd chuckled slightly and smiled.
"Yeah yeah easy for you to say... Plus it's been a long time gramps." he teased.
Matt placed a hand on his chest looking quite offended but he knew it was a joke.
"Do I look old now? Oh my I thought that spring was going to work! Shucks"
The brunett smiled and punched his friends shoulder playfully.
"Narcissist"
"Shorty"
"Jackass"
"Dingle berry"
They both called each other a few nicknames alright and shared a few laughs. It became dark pretty soon and Matt decided it was time to head back. But edd had plan otherwise and suggested he'd stay.
"Hey Matt? "
"yeah?
"could you do me a favour? "
"sure thing pal"
"could you... Get tord for me? I'd like to talk to him. " he swallowed hard. The ginger smiled warmly and nodded.
"I'll be back soon Kay? Don't touch anything brown"
"Eww what the fuck no way Matt seriously your a riot" the brunette laugh.
The deer was happy his friend was feeling a bit better.
He changed to his original form once again and sprinted off.
Edd was his best friend and he'd always support him no matter what.
"He'll do great one day"
