A. 21st: I tried getting up, but Herc held me down. I kept kicking around, really wanting to be up. Alex came over and just seeing him calmed me down a little. He laid his head on my chest and wrapped his arm around me, falling asleep. I guess I was stuck here, so I slowly fell asleep, trying to forget about all my problems.
I woke up to having a nightmare about our camp being invaded by outside troops and tried quickly sitting up, but forgot Alex was laying on me, so I couldn't get up. Me moving must've woken him up because he looked up at me and asked what was wrong. I tried explaining it was nothing, just a dumb dream, but he wasn't taking any of it. He sat up and asked again what it was.
I tried lying again, saying 'it was really nothing, don't worry about it,' but he grabbed the collar of my shirt and pulled me upright. I tried backing away, but I failed miserably and ended up flat on my back with nowhere to run. I had no choice but to tell him...
-----------------------------------
I explained it to him and he didn't do anything except give me my plushie turtle. Wait. Where did he get my turtle. How? Did he go through my things? Crap... I hugged the turtle and he smiled at me, like he was glad it helped, then went back to bed. Before he was able to fall back asleep, I tried asking him how he got my turtle but all I could say was, "How... turtle..." That made enough sense, right? He told me he would explain in the morning and told me to get back to sleep. I tried to stay awake but couldn't.

You thought I fell asleep? Oh, John... And how do I calm you down so much? By the way, you were very cute trying to ask me about the turtle, too bad I'm not actually explaining it to you.
-------------------------------------
A. 22nd: When I woke up this morning, I noticed Alex had written here AGAIN! He was gone, I'm guessing getting breakfast, or bringing me something to distract me from the turtle since he's 'Not going to tell me.'
Alex walked in a few moments later, carrying a huge tray of food. Why so much? Whatever... I can't let it distract me... Remember the turtle... He walked over to me and sat down next to me, laying the tray of food on the ground in front of us. I need to turn this around... I quickly grab my turtle and slap him in the face with it, dropping it in his lap.
He picks it up and looks at me with fear. Did I do something wrong? Why does he look so scared? He starts talking, again almost so quickly I can barely understand it,
"OhMyGoshRightThisIWasGonna... Explain... WellYouSeeUhhhh-" I put my hand over his mouth to get him to stop so I can tell him to slow down. You know what Alex did? The fool freaking licked my hand!
------------------------------------
I quickly pulled it away and looked at him with disgust. He looked away, blushing, and I dried my hand with a nearby towel then put my hand on his shoulder. He froze then slowly looked back at me. I told him I already had some idea how he got the turtle and he didn't have to explain if he didn't want to.
He nodded in agreement and quietly asked what happened to James. How did he know about my brother? Why was that the only name he knew? I asked him and he said, "Uh- I just saw the name on a paper somewhere," which I knew he was lying, but I wasn't going to try anything, "and I only remembered that because... becau-..." I let him continue, since he was talking about my family, and I remembered what happened to his... "Uh- my broth-brother... His name was J-James..."
I started hugging him, hoping him telling me that wouldn't bring back any bad memories of his past.
