Dean POV

I watched her ride on the back of Damon's bike off the clubhouse lot, I couldn't believe how badly I had fucked this up. I hadn't even been able to have one proper night with her, and she was already gone. My feelings towards May weren't actually complicated, I loved her. But the brotherhood wouldn't let me move on. I've been working for the brotherhood for as long as I've known Silver, my job was to get close to her so that the brotherhood could take her.

But life happens. I didn't even know May was pregnant until she couldn't physically hide it from me anymore – she was too far along to do anything about it. I had been furious with May for hiding it from me, it put us in such a vulnerable position. When Reaper found out I thought he was going to kill me for real – tell Silver I was alive so that she could move on, but thankfully he doesn't know the whole story. No one does. Idiot thinks I'm actually loyal to the devils.

I'm positive that the real reason Reaper told Silver to move on was because he knew I had gotten a girl knocked up while claiming to want to protect Silver. I couldn't blame him for it either, if he only knew I've been working with the brotherhood this whole time.

After hearing Silver admit that she almost killed herself because she thought she lost me made me mad - the brotherhood would crucify me if she died.

I left the garage and went down to the gym in the clubhouse basement. I don't know how long I hit the punching bag, it had to have been hours, but Reaper walked in and stopped me from hitting the bag any more.

"The brotherhood took Silver, I swear to god if we don't get her back I'm killing you – for putting her through this, for making her a target to the brotherhood, for everything"

I was still panting from hitting the punching bag, so I nodded my head. If Silver got hurt, neither Reaper nor Damon would let me live anyway and I had to make this look convincing.

"Good. Now let's go get her, I'll round up the rest of the boys" Reaper started walking away, but then stopped to turn back towards me.

"As far as I know the boys don't know about May or your kid and frankly I can't guarantee your safety if they find out. Especially Damon, lord knows he's been in love with Silver since the beginning – so I'd keep my mouth shut for now if I were you."

Damon had grown up with Silver, he was the son of our past VP and protected Silver with an unmatched ferocity. The fact that he had been 13 when Silver first came to the clubhouse meant that he never left her side, at school and at the club. I know that Damon was even Silver's first kiss, at a high school party before I had joined the club; a fact that has always made making Silver forget about Damon impossible. That's why the brotherhood made sure he was in prison when I 'joined' the devils. But even still when I first asked out Silver I knew that Damon was the bigger threat than Reaper if I ever broke her heart.

I nodded again and we both headed upstairs to get ready – there was no way in hell I was going to let anything happen to Silver, the brotherhood would kill me if anything did.
