"Mina, come on! The sun will be setting soon!" Acerola yelled. The fairy type captain snapped out of her thoughts and set her paintbrush down beside her palette. She preferred to work on her paintings alone, but her ghost type specialist friend had insisted on tagging along. Mina spent the day recreating the coast of the Alolan island with acrylics while Acerola wandered around on the rocks. She'd cycled through training, pestering her friend, playing with the water type Pokémon inhabiting the area, and attempting to catch one of the many Wimpod that scuttled along the shore. The Ula'Ula ghost captain's own Pokémon were used to it and had decided to do their own thing for the most part. Sableye was scaring off the Wishiwashi, Froslass hovered by the artist to watch her paint, and the remainder spent the majority of the day just playing together. They certainly reflected Acerola's personality.

The golden haired girl was guided towards the ledge of the outcrop by the smaller of the two. The captains sat down inches apart from each other, legs dangling over the side, feet just centimeters away from the clear blue water.
"Look! It's starting!"
Acerola excitedly grabbed Mina's hand and held it tightly. She turned to the side to gave her a small smile and was met with a light squeeze of the hand from her friend. The purple haired girl held in the urge to squeal. Slowly the sky faded from its usual vibrant hue into a gradient of soft pinks, blues, and peaches. More time passed and the pastels turned into deep purples and finally came to rest once the world was coated in a veil of midnight blue. Both girls stared up into the night as the stars began poking through the sheet of night.
"C'mon Ace, let's head back. Ribombee, please light the way with Dazzling Gleam," the artist said after releasing the fairy-bug Pokémon. It happily complied, dousing the area in shimmering light. Mina packed her art supplies into her bag and slung it over her shoulder before casually taking Acerola's hand. Froslass and Ribombee floated along beside their trainers with the rest tucked away in their Pokéballs for the journey home.

"I hope my paintings can be as powerful and beautiful as the setting sun one day."

"You're prettier than both of them combined!"
