Taylor's POV:
I decided the best way to attack was to get to know her. Then penetrate the home base or whatever. We started dancing back and forth and laughing. She was actually pretty funny! She started cracking jokes and I nearly passed out, I laughed so hard.
"...and then she said, 'whatch you talkin' 'bout Willis?' And I said, 'More than you!' " she said sassily. I started laughing again. Taylor and Harry walked over to us.
"How's it going, love?" Harry said wrapping his arm around me. Taylor kissed Trisha on the cheek.
"Ew! What the heck, Taylor?" Trisha shouted backing away.
"Heh, um, Trisha? Can I talk to you for a minute?" Taylor said grabbing her hand.
Trisha yanked her hand away. "Ew! Gross! I'm your 2nd cousin, not your girlfriend!" She shouted. WHAT?!
"Trisha! Not now!" Taylor whispered.
"Y'know, if you wanted me to at least ACT like your girlfriend you could have told me to! I'm leaving!" Trisha stormed out. Harry and I were staring at Taylor, who ran after her.
"Trisha! Wait! I can explain!" He said, running off. Ha! Harry and I snickered as he led me to the dance floor. Miraculously, a slow song played just then and everyone partnered up. Except for the single girls. They stood over by the refreshments and ate a ton of cupcakes. I saw Toby and Hailey dancing in a corner. They were so cute, but not as cute as Harry and I.
We swayed back and forth, and he even twirled me once. I almost started to cry when I remembered I didn't love him anymore. In fact, I wasn't sure I ever did. The song ended and the doors burst open.
"HARRY FLIPPING STYLES!" The voice shouted. All I saw was a blur and Taylor punching Harry in the face. Harry pushed me out of the way, causing me to stumble towards the punch. (Quite ironic.) Harry slammed his fist into Taylor's cheek and Taylor spat out some blood. Oh, gosh. Someone tripped over me and I fell into the punch, ruining my dress. Fists were flying in the middle of the dance floor and I was furious.
I stood up and marched straight into the middle of the fight. "STOP!" I shouted. Both boys reared to a halt as I stood in between them. "What is WRONG with you two? And WHO is going to pay me back for this DRESS?!" I was so mad. I couldn't even handle my emotions right now.
"Um..." Taylor began. I marched right up to him and slapped him.
"Listen. I was trying to have the night of my dreams and all you did was ruin it. You lied to me, broke my heart, and I am NO LONGER tolerating it." I whispered furiously. I marched over to Harry.
"Look, babe I'm so-" I cut him off with another slap.
"THIS is for shoving me into the PUNCH BOWL and RUINING my dress!" I shouted. He tried to lean in for a kiss but I backed away. "And this isn't the only reason we're through." I ran out of the building and sat down on the sidewalk. I started sniffling. This night was supposed to be great. This night was supposed to be OUR night. But now I had no date, no fun...
...and no friends.
I started crying quietly when I heard the doors slowly open behind me.
"T-Taylor?" The familiar voice asked.
"Yeah? Look, I really don't want to-" I was cut off by a hug from her. I didn't know what to say, so I hugged back.
"I'm sorry tonight was like this. I should've stood up for you or something." Hailey said.
"No, no. It's alright. You didn't have to do anything. Tonight was my fault. You didn't have anything to do with it." I said. We sat there for a little while talking. "Now you have punch on your dress." I said, giggling. It was really pretty. It was green with blue gemstones at the top and came down to about to her knees. It was blue and green tulle and showed off her figure really well.
