The duo found themselves in an open field now as they walked around the area cautiously.
"Careful... They could be hiding anywhere," Steve reminded Claire as they continued to walk forwards, looking behind as well. A moment of silence hung as they looked around. There was nothing.
"It's too quiet," Claire commented. "Nobody seems to be here," Unconvinced, Steve continued to look everywhere.
"It has to be behind this door," Steve suggested as he pointed towards a door. He walked towards the door, standing in front of it now.
"We're knowingly walking into our enemies' trap. I think we should be careful about this," Claire advised. Steve hesistated for a moment before he opened the door. The room was totally dark and it was almost impossible to see. As the door closed behind them, a distorted sound coming from a mike rang in their ears before a voice greeted them.
"I am so glad you came!" Alfred welcomed them with enthusiasm. "Honestly, I thought you'd back out! You know how it is, a ot of people are just talk,"
"And by that you're referring to yourself right?" Steve asked, trying to taunt him. No response came from Alfred. "Yeah. I thought so," he concluded as he walked slowly in front.
As they made a turn, they saw lights they were on the sides of the wall, slightly illuminating the room. However, the lights were short-lived as it suddenly dissapeared, plunging the duo into darkness. The duo turned on their flashlights.
"I'm not some kid who's afraid of the dark," Steve spoke, wondering if Alfred was listening.
"Steve, the guy's nuts. Don't trust him," she warned urgently. Steve looked around. There was nothing.
"Great, another cheap scare," Steve sighed in fustration. He became startled and yelled out in fear as one of the telephones suddenly rang. "I've had enough of this," he continued as he was somewhat seething in anger. A sudden screeching sound was heard.
"What's this?" Steve asked as he turned to the front. They were stunned and moved back as they were confronted by three spiders a thousand times larger. "What the hell is that thing?! It's huge!" he yelled. It took some time before the three spiders came crashing down in front of them. "This things should be in the Book of World Records!" he commented as they proceeded forward, avoiding the dead spiders.
Steve peeked slowly as he head stuck out from the corner slowly. After that, he came out of cover, standing at the corridor. Nothing was there. The duo moved forward when Steve turned back to greet three zombies with his gun. Steve was still stunned by the zombies. "That was one hell of a welcome!" he continued, sounding shocked.
As they faced the door again, a zombie rose up from the left of the corridor, running towards the duo but Claire had already put a bullet on the zombie's head, causing it to fly backwards with the blood spilling from its neck. As they saw their back being overwhelmed by zombies, Steve ran towards the door, slamming it open. Claire moved out as well and closed the door behind her. They found themselves outside once more.As they moved on, the wind blew so strong that they felt as if it was trying to send thier legs off the ground.
"The wind's strong," Claire commented, trying her best to walk normally. In front of them was and old and large containers. The type of containers that are used for transportation. Steve observed the area. The only way was going up.
"Let's go up," Steve suggested, sounding slightly weary from the shock a moment ago. They walked a few steps forward when Steve noticed a red line in front of him. "It's Alfred!" he yelled to Claire. Immediately, they took cover behind the large containers. A sniper shot rang out from the top.
